He indeed possesses abundant "experience"
Is it from WHT?
After I looked at my message again, I was thankful I didn't end up using their service.

Let's just hope things will be fine. Let's just hope this is legit. We must offer some chance to the new business. Maybe it is just a newly established business with some funds to spend on entering the hosting industry. Let's give it a few weeks to notify us about their plans, then see where we go from there. I must admit that I admire the bizarre courage and unusual craziness of someone entering the hosting business precisely when during economic crisis and political turmoil.
yeh
FWIW
My experience with @VeloxMedia was good, the VPS worked fine and support was really good.
The factor that made me join the current suspicions ("Velox was sold") was the fact that my VPS is currently down and in a way that might indicate it was moved to another node (or host) - as opposed to just rebooted.
That said, as of this moment the facts I see are
And again I even did get a response to my ticket from yesterday - just before Xmas!
So, maybe the reason Veloxmedia do not make a statement here is (a) that they are not selling and/or (b) no final decision has been made so far and/or a potential deal still is in flux/not finally closed.
Side note: My VPS is cheap indeed but not irresponsibly super-cheap (like $ 5 per year); it is in what I consider the territory in between a (slight) loss-leader to gain better visibility and a cheap but sustainable deal. And my VPS was not purchased in a BF deal but in a normal promo.
TL;DR rumors but little supporting facts so far. But a clear statement from Veloxmedia would be very welcome.
TL;DR Licking provider ass, like always. To be ignored.
Is that stuff any of us can see there? Looks like another thing to add to my checklist when I see new hosts. I wonder if I even still have a WHT login after all these years, let's go see.
edit: nice, I can see that shit and I do still have a login, thanks.
you might wanna double check that

should someone tell him
After seeing some messages in this thread, I wouldn't be suprised if there are still some people "deniying" or "defending" this ^^
Who could have ever thaught this would happen? Oh, wait, yea.
I don't quite understand this bit.
and
are contradictory based on the stuff in italics. Maybe it was down and now isn't, but then I'm not sure why you'd put "current down" in italics.

Live progress, WHMCS is back, kinda.

I just refreshed the page with my ticket. It worked fine.
Maybe there are problems reaching their site from other regions. But I can only report what I see, and I do see their client panel.
Maybe I don't get your point but: the node is working fine, but my VPS is "down". Details: My VPS does try to boot but fails because the boot drive has somehow been corrupted, and in a way I've already seen (with other providers) after my (FreeBSD) VPS had either been hard rebooted -or- moved to another node. Hence my guess ("might indicate").
Thanks. But AFAIK my VPS's node is a Solus node (but my problem seems to be limited to my specific VPS)
UPDATE: Right after my last post I went to refresh the client panel (tickets) again and now I get this:
Waiting to hear from you, @VeloxMedia.
Or shall I say, @benthost?
We need to add a market on Polymarket for how long before VeloxMedia deadpools
The most valuable asset out of VeloxMedia: already paid LET provider tag for next 3 months /s
Sorry, my bad. Somehow my brain completely ignored the node part.
Update: FWIW, their client panel works again.
Positive: that incident suggests that someone there takes care of their indrastructure.
Negative: Still no statement from them, be it @VeloxMedia or be it Benthost.
Any updates on the discord?
Probably changed the client server ip so it was working for some but for others, pointing towards different server.
Hey everyone!! Eric here. Lewis is gone and just handed me the keys to everything. I just got access to the DNS and email and all that good stuff so have been working on moving some things over to ensure we don't lose any communication. We don't have the domain transferred yet unfortunately.
The good news is I have access to all the systems and everything is still up and running. The bad news is everyone's agreements/contracts/money is with Lewis and he's gone. He setup tons and tons of packages so there's a lot of stuff to dig into still so bear with me for a bit as I work to find a solution moving forward.
There you go everyone, that's your cue to chargeback any long term plans. If you're UK based, you can also use the Small Claims Court: https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money
chargeback yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gone means just moved away from the company or no body knows his where abouts?
