That's much better. Just give the other person a list of things you'd like. Reminds me of the Modern Family episode where Phil finds it extremely difficult to get the perfect gift for Claire.
Oh yes, some of them keep this habit even after they have grown out of their teething period habits. I guess it's kinda entertaining for them.
i actually currently rent from 32 providers. for example OVH i never even filed 1 ticket, been with them since 2019.. same with IONOS, although had them since summer, as most providers here. same goes for xhosts, hostdare, lumadock, dedirock. a dozen or so providers i purchased from since BF, so it's just been a month, and yet 2 of them already failed me some few times.. is it the size of the company? i see RackNerd's server has like 250k visits per month, it is quite strange if they get infrastructure from colocrossing which barely have 20k monthly visitors.... anyway.. i guess with most providers you get what you paid for.. hence the RackNerd Difference..
i now rent 6 VPS from RN.
Yeah, that's weird, I'dunno, could me to mess with you, also could be misunderstood you. I'm sure they get weird requests all the time.
well gnight y'all..
less than 2 days till i get 4th place prize and gift it to my sister.. gotta outshine her in the gifting game..
plus i'm not into apple stuff. although i red you can hook up airpods to android no problems, but won't get full functionality.. i have samsung buds, only used them during time i was jogging outside, very comfy hooked up to the watch, listen to techno dj mixes to keep up the pace.. but since my ankle started hurting on one leg and knee on the other, i just do workouts in the room while watching random shit on prime.. currently BTW they have 1st season of Mayor of Kingstown for free and ad free. which i am watching now. Jeremy Renner is amazing in it. He like Jason Bateman in Ozark.. was so good..
Snagged a couple servers. Please double the bandwidth if this is still happening.

I wouldn't consider myself a pro but I'm definitely strong with it. Probably stronger with it than I am with windows... I started using Gentoox (gentoo but a binary version for the first/original xbox) in very early 2000s. For a while, that was my only "computer" that was mine/not shared. Then I eventually setup dual booting on the family computer and eventually I got my own which I also dual booted. During those times, Gentoo used to break a lot with updates if you didn't update all the time so I got used to digging into logs/troubleshooting things on my own. It was annoying but back in those days with more limited hardware/resources, compiling for your specific CPU/hardware and removing stuff you didn't need really made things run much faster. In a way, I'm happy it broke since it made me learn how to dig into things/troubleshoot and gave me confidence that I could figure it out. It also made me learn more about how linux works and a lot of that knowledge transfers to the various distros with just small differences between them.
Good night to you as well, dude.
G'night!
Yeah, if I did end up in 3rd/4th place, I would totally ask if I could be treated like an international customer and just get credit. Though there's no way I can catch up for that
Good idea on using it for a gift to someone else!
Oh, I believe regardless of whether you are international or non-intl, winners can always opt for RackNerd credits instead. So, you should be good there.
Yeah, I figured they would do it. In a way, I don't really have a need for 2nd place but I would still get it over the credit just to play with it. Same with 1st place though parts of it would be an upgrade from my current gaming desktop.

my gaming desktop high level hardware specs is an i9-9900k, 2080 Super, 32G ram, and a mix of SSDs (nvme and sata). It's still good but could be better
That's cool. How old is it BTW? I mean did you build it when 9th gen came out?
hehe, doggo is asleep by my feet dreaming. At least I think she is as she's twitching/pretending to run. I'm totally going to let her sleep for now but I will eventually have to wake her up for the "bedtime" potty. She would be fine until morning but then she will forsure wake me up early and I rather attempt to sleep in and a break tonight will give me more time in the morning
I did build it when it was current. Well, I got the MB/CPU/Ram when it was current. I always upgrade my desktop in parts. Like I will re-use the stuff that I didn't upgrade. It originally didn't have a 2080 Super in it, that was upgraded after the fact. I did kind of want to upgrade the GPU but then the whole crypto thing was going on and figured it wasn't worth it since it's still good enough. Was totally thinking about upgrading the MB/CPU/RAM this coming summer but I think I'm going to just wait on that due to the current prices/etc.
Current forecasts say it's gonna take atleast 1-2 years for the price to normalise. But, I guess, it's anyone's guess.
Not sure if it's doable in the US very easily or if you have the tools for it, but, many in china have been upgrading their 20 series cards to have double or more quantity of the ram. Extremely tough process though without a reball station and other tools.
Iirc, 2080 was the preferred GPU for it.
I've heard about those mods but I don't have those type of skills to do it myself. Do have a decent little soldering/hotair station but I can just do minor stuff. It's still good enough for most things, only feel it's age if I try doing like crazy graphic settings and resolutions. My last upgrade was to a dual 4k monitor setup. I do kind of miss having a triple monitor setup but dual 4k is nicer.
Oh yah. The upgrade does require replacing the RAM chips and modifying another chip to accept the VRAM upgrade.
As for monitors, I have always had a single monitor setup. Not sure if dual or more is a possibility without a dgpu at all, I mean one to display port and another to HDMI won't work, right?
Will have to upgrade my monitor soon as well, cause mine has multiple vertical lines right now. Dunno if repair is an option anymore
previously was hdmi and dp (due to card ports) but my current setup is both dp.
Honestly, triple monitor was nice but I wouldn't really say it's needed like I do with dual monitor. IIRC, there was some business studies that were done and they came to the conclusion that dual monitors increase productivity a lot and well worth the price. Going triple or more didn't really increase productivity and the cost wasn't really worth it.
Sad, Canada chickens are down. Single homed Cogent moment

Oh ok. I mean i was asking if plugging a monitor into display port and another to HDMI on the motherboard ports with an apu, not a discrete GPU could get me a dual monitor setup? I guess not
