Yes, they are bound to share the complaints to the concerned, specially when they're suspending a service based on a complaint. They must take the proper route too. They are intermediaries. They need to serve the complaint. That's how it works.
Ok, if you say so. Would be interesting to learn from this. Where can I find a host should share the complaint?
Not taking sides, just trying to educate myself on the matter.
There's another thread about an abuse complaint, it's very educational.
Whenever I see a topic like "Provider X suspended my services without a valid reason", I already sense something fishy. Throughout years of my hosting experience, I only got servers suspended for heavy CPU/traffic usage but nobody has ever demanded KYC. Why? Most likely because I do not do things that may in theory attract KYC request.
I guess quickly creating such a topic is a tactic. Attacking is the best form of defense.
🔥HostDZire offers high-performance VPS and dedicated servers from top global locations including India, The Netherlands, USA, Singapore, Japan, and more.🔥
Isn’t the usual scenario like this?
Damn user, your VPS has received an abuse report, now you can get out of my service group.
Your VPS has received an abuse report, please handle it, and then everything will continue running.
I’ve never seen: 3. Shut down your VPS without telling you what happened, first please submit KYC, and then you don’t even know what will happen next.
😆 Feels really weird.
It looks like things are quite serious.
just incase i have a dirty cheap vps in India and did not have any kyc require
Which law says that host should disable your access without telling you what happened, and pressurize you for sharing your passport & address all of a sudden?
Would be interesting to know.
Normal on every host. Something happened,ok, shutdown until all is handled. If user doesn't want to handle it out, ban. No risk in future to have problems otherwise.
One more thing I would want to point out, that the IP shown in the image shared by @HostDZire points to the service I purchased recently in LET's BF deal, like 2-3 weeks back. [Link: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/4616842/#Comment_4616842]
No clue which VPS/user had that IP allotted before. The host would know.
Certainly something fishy.
Yes, but they need to send the complaint to a legal, verifiable entity - not just a random email address. Hence why they need to know who you actually are.
@donb if you have nothing to hide, then why are you hiding?
Random email, lol?
Notices served to registered email addresses are valid, btw. We're in 2026, please.
I don't have to show anything to anyone just because they're asking for it. Would you? if yes, good luck. I don't. There's a reason privacy laws exist.
I think Hetzner does 3
Okay we have had enough arguments here,
We are proceeding with refunding the client and closing his account with HostDZire.
@donb
We have refunded your recent invoice and we require address to refund your 2nd invoice because automated method didnt work.
Reply in ticket within 24 hours.
Let's think logical! The police request is based on the IP OP's @HostDZire VPS had, so obviously OP did something (using that VPS) that the indian police suspects or knows to be criminal and likely demanded HostDZire (a) to do KYC, and (b) to stop providing the VPS to OP (at least temporary).
Given that I guess no provider here would ignore the police and instead support a suspected (or actual) criminal.
Btw, @zed, I have not been asked to do the KYC procedure, but then I'm neither abusing my VPS nor did I hide my identity. I guess that the vast majority of HostDZire's customers didn't have to go through KYC either. But if the police demands something (legal) from a provider he has to comply.
Well, actually you have to provide your id to the authorities if they demand it (lawfully). And you also are not the king of India that is, your rights are not above those of others, like e.g. their right to accept you as a customer or not as well as to put up "entry barriers" like e.g. "we provide service only to people who do not abuse our product", and the police demanding who uses a given IP/VPS strongly indicates some form of abuse.
Besides your line "HostDZire is just an intermediary, I insist on seeing the police request!" is ridiculous, because HostDZire is not "just an intermediary", he represents the company from which you yourself chose to buy a product/service.
TL;DR respect the rules of the game or fuck off!
FWIW: I have been known as a jsg fan for a long time and its kinda hot when he comes and says the f word
A bad year like 2025 could not have end without a proper ending drama.
Wel, there no law... Doesn't answer my question though. So... No need to discuss but my question stands?
In other words... How about we discuss facts and law... There's a lack of it in this thread, except from what @HostDZire posted.
Lol, not much drama though. All I see is a complaint, host like, seek proper recourse. Client not willing to.
We will take needed steps and update our TOS accordingly soon,
Cases like this helps us as well to learn more and adopt off course.
Lesson learned
good boy
Yea that's my read as well, I don't think HostDZire is doing anything wrong. Just saying regardless I don't do KYC over a few bucks.
*also a HostDZire customer, also not abusing anything, also not been asked for KYC.
Making this so public sure made me curious though!
That's great. Like, objectively I think you handled it very well. I mean, I don't known much about legality and such m, but using common sense....
Its a serious matter and being a parent I get emotion might be involved...
Yet, I think you're doing a good job.

The reason was simple: to get the money back.
Posts were made to draw attention and put reasonable pressure on the seller.
The specific actions taken will not be discussed here, but the refund was necessary.
Once the money was returned, the issue was resolved.
100% that was the main reason
put pressure to get any peny from the provider
he fighting very well
Looks like a new method if a nonrefundable excuse is written.
Maybe
It is definitely odd to request KYC without any information.
If it's a valid police report, I would expect the provider to suspend my services, forward the police report and allow me to handle it in a timely manner. If things are unable to be resolved, then I would just cut my losses and move on. I don't get what is point on trying to fight it.
