    to send money via snail mail. i would assume, and don't get me wrong, in India they'd open the letter with money in it, no? nothing personal or racist. i know in my home country you simply cannot send money in an envelope. i remember doing it with a postcard, and only 1 banknote inside it, to avoid thickness.. i mean, 1 money in double folder postcard in the envelope..

    Yah probably decades ago, there was this money order system at the postal office. Nowadays, the use of cash in itself has reduced with UPI

    very rarely i find a word i don't know. such was "GOBBY" but after looking it up i know why - it's British slang. i am not super familiar.. know some cockney, some guvnor stuff, but more of international..

    Luv Brit slang meself madferit.

    quite often sounds outright hilarious to me thou.. but i like watching me some British show or movie.. sometimes with subtitles tho..

    it's funny how songs always sound same, have you noticed? no matter a Brit signs or a Yankee - same sounding, i am talking you know, classics, ballads and stuff. i am sure rap may sound different.

    Oh yes, it does still exist. being from country with one of the largest in-remittances, I have some experience where I heard people still use WU for remittances, but, they have definitely losta lot of hold that they held a few decades ago, as almost a monopoly.
