@DUSTINC CAN I GET A BIRTHDAY CAKE (or maybe a mug?) FROM THE CHEF ON DEC 7

    i am also born on a 7th

what about on the 18th? I mean, you can be like everyone else and say it's a combined birthday and christmas gift since it's literally a week before!

i like the 7.. one time i was in a club, and was spinning glow sticks rolling like crazy, back maybe 2002 or something.. this woman comes to me and from just that guesses my birth sign and says probably born on the 14th or 21st.. and i am 7th.. can you believe that?

Did you take it forward with that woman, or was she some shaman or something marketing at a club for clients?

i think she was tripping on acid.. she watched me dance for a while.. i used to do very active poi spinning with jumping all over the place..

 That makes sense now. I was trying to understand some random woman would try to guess your birthday. I though it's either flirting or marketing.

So I think I'm only using like 20G of the internal storage as it seems the switch 2 installed everything to the microsd express card first. So when my 512G card arrives like late next week, I should be able to just delete some of the updates/dlc for the game cards/carts that I own and move everything to the internal storage. That way I won't have to redownload everything again and only a few things. Might even just wait to redownload them until I actually want to play those games again

    gonna be Nintendo storage rich

hehe yeah. I went with named brand too. Was looking for SanDisk or Samsung and the samsung one was way cheaper, even than the walmart brand for 512G. I just had to wait until next week to get it. I could have got one faster but it was third party (could be counterfeit) and cost more money but I'm fine with waiting a little bit knowning it's authenticate, named brand, and cheaper.

I have been using the Samsung Evo Plus cards for a few of my projects recently and they perform really well, and are mostly on sale, selling cheaper than the laternatives.

Yeah, I like Samsung cards as they're good and similar with SanDisk. Honestly, it always comes down to the price between the two when I need one. Now, the unknown amazon brands or rebanded cheap ones that stores do, while they work, they don't last as long. I recall seeing posts on reddit about some people's cards dying already because they went with the unknown brands. Do kind of wish the switch 2 would let you use regular microsd but I get it, they need the faster data transfer speeds for games. At least it will help push a new standard to more devices.

Yes, it'd be great if there was a standard for these as well. You remember the R36 retro consoles I keep talking about? They are infamous for using cheap off-brand cards that die within a few months and destroy the screen and/or the motherboard along with them.

Well, I do see microsd express taking off way more than the UFS one samsung was trying to push years ago. Honestly thinking since the switch has it, more devices will follow.

I have dabbled around with this. Whisper gave me the best results among all I tried. But, yes, it fumbles a lot, even with proper American English, esp. when the words are specific brand names or such.

Depends on if you're talking about UFS that is storage soldered on boards or not. If so, then no but it is faster than ufs microsd like cards. Microsd express is like pcie gen 3 with a just under 1Gbps iirc

Well, I do see microsd express taking off way more than the UFS one samsung was trying to push years ago. Honestly thinking since the switch has it, more devices will follow.

Never heard of microsd express. Is it like faster than the latest UFS protocols?

Depends on if you're talking about UFS that is storage soldered on boards or not. If so, then no but it is faster than ufs microsd like cards. Microsd express is like pcie gen 3 with a just under 1Gbps iirc

Oh, that's cool. Didn't know removable ones existed that could compare in performance with pcie 3. I guess these are currently expensive right?

that's the microsd express ones! The UFS cards were basically like sata drives. But yeah, microsd express is way more money than normal mircosd cards

    Guess which is which :)

But, still, they are gonna be pretty expensive in India. With all the shortage going on, they will only experience more inflation :(

Wild guess, the one on the left or middle is the newer UFS card while the one on the right is the standard OG. I am guessing I am wrong there. But, anyways, would definitely wanna try these out. Unfortunately, none of my current devices can take advantage of all that speed.

    UFS card, express, OG

Fastest there is the express. That UFS card is faster than microsd but there's very limited devices that can actually read it.

Paypal reviewed my info.... and decided to permanently deactivate my account because of "suspicious activities".
Upon checking the terms, I still don't see anything that I could have broken.
The only thing I did it deposit €10 and pay a €3 invoice at hostbrr for a storagebox so I could backup my laptop/vps...

    So lets avoid hostbrr :)

What? None of this is the fault of hostbrr. Paypal suspended my account, not hostbrr!
