@somever said: Well I think the core problem is you buy too much and don't learn about temperance.

Not always the case. I can cite my own example where I do have both a 1 year deal and a 3 year deal in the same location. I had bought the 1 year deal BEFORE I was able to snag a 3 year deal. What will happen is that the 1 year deal will (eventually) expire (assuming I have no use for 2 storage VMs for e.g). Instead it may be of use for someone else. Since these are limited sales (and mostly only to active customers), I'd rather see them put to good use than just let them plain expire.

Of course the real issue is how to prevent the abusive scenarios.

While it is still possible to fake things (including email) and change it, I think broadly the no-transfer policy has helped stem the "trade" in these VMs.

We just have to figure out a way to allow the legit transfers and prevent the scalpers. Some of it may be just time barriers. Like a 1-3 month wait before you transfer etc. I'm sure lots of folks have thought about it (and figured out loop holes as well).

I'll just leave it at that for now till better heads can come together to figure out a good way to do something about it.

The way I see it is, imagine someone grabs a 50% off deal, but then later snags a better 69% off one.

If transfers were allowed, I’m pretty sure people would just sit on a bunch of deals, keep the best one, and pass on the rest.

To me, it follows the same logic as the 'no refund' policy during Black Friday. It’s about committing to the purchase.

I just feel that when we go for these crazy discounts, there has to be some risk involved. It shouldn't be a 'buy now, decide later' kind of thing.

That’s why I actually like the strict no-transfer rule—it feels like a fair way to stop people from hoarding.

@NDTN - after all these wonderful sales, I hope you'll reconsider allowing some of us faithful non-scalpers to transfer out some deals to those who missed. I'm scared to go look at what I have and I'm pretty sure I have multiples in some locations, likely idling in clusters.

It would be a shame to let such good deals idle in the hands of a few.

    Sharing is caring.

Thank you for all the deals you've given (back to back in the recent past now) - the cup is overflowing thanks to your generosity.

Let me think about that. Actually, if we allow it, people will likely exploit it to resell for a profit.

What if you just limit it to people in the VIP group, or people in the mega thread squad. I doubt anyone there would try to scalp, and they could be disqualified from future flash sales if they did try to scalp.

I miss good old times where MJJ wasn't all around GC and there wasn't useless drama like this.

A private company can refuse to work with anyone for any reason. They can just wake up and say let's kick out all customers with name A...

And you have to suck it up and move on.

And lesson for the future, if you are using a provider and want to keep your services active with them, don't shitpost or complain about them in public.

They can just refund your money (if they are nice enough) terminate your services and you suck it up.

If you have an issue with their service, create a ticket, try resolving, if no luck. Move away from the provider, and do all the shitpost and negative talk, so if they close your account, you will lose nothing.

Are you not worried that Greencloud will continue to accuse me or their clients of inciting you? Be cautious, as they can accuse anyone without evidence!

I have been, am, and will continue to be here to listen to the voices of their user community, rather than speaking for myself!

You are not allowed to use more than 30% of CPU resources. If you exceed, you will be warned 2-3 times and your account will be banned.

What's wrong with you? Post your evidence here first.

Thank you for providing feedback. We must address the inaccurate information presented in your statement to ensure clarity for the community.

    1. Your account status is Active, and your VPS remains accessible. Your claim of the account being banned is false. We note that you recently topped up your wallet with a $100 credit bonus, why did you do that if your account/service has been banned or our service is bad as you said? We request that you correct your original post to reflect the current, accurate status of your service.

    2. When you submitted your support ticket, our staff confirmed that the VPS was still accessible via ping and VNC. The issue was isolated to your installed panel, not the VPS stability itself. As our VPS plans are unmanaged, troubleshooting internal software/scripts is your responsibility. Our staff also pointed out that your VPS was observed consuming 100% CPU, which is a violation of our Terms of Service (TOS) regarding resource abuse.

We welcome constructive feedback aimed at improving our services. However, spreading continuously inaccurate information is unacceptable.

Given the circumstances, we are happy to issue a full refund for your recent top-up invoice so you may move to another provider. Please DM me when you are ready to proceed with the refund.

Instead of behaving in an uncivilized manner in the 'Vietnamese mafia' style, I believe Greencloud should listen to feedback, address customer complaints, and improve its services in a transparent way.

There are quite a few complaints about Greencloud's policies, behavior, and handling of issues.

You can easily find numerous complaints on Facebook. In fact, you could even ask Gemini to compile reviews about your services and the risks of using them.

    Best regards!
