@NDTN - after all these wonderful sales, I hope you'll reconsider allowing some of us faithful non-scalpers to transfer out some deals to those who missed. I'm scared to go look at what I have and I'm pretty sure I have multiples in some locations, likely idling in clusters.
It would be a shame to let such good deals idle in the hands of a few.
Sharing is caring.
Thank you for all the deals you've given (back to back in the recent past now) - the cup is overflowing thanks to your generosity.
still no luck to get just one storage deal
Same. Someone finished checkout between the time we applied the coupon and finished checkout.
Consider saving up sleep prior BF.
It means that the code was used up before you finished checking out.
does the DOUBLE based on Triennial Payments resources(doubled Ram & Bandwidth) ?
Alright, I'm going to sleep. It seems my luck isn't very good. Good night, everyone.
I hope I can find a deal that suits me tomorrow, a big promotion with 50% off premium KVMs.
Gone!
Stupid Apple Live Text, slashed zero is still OCRed as O letter instead of zero digit.
Closure, as in closing the company due to bankrupt?
Oh we have another OCR user here...
I t s posible
The way of the idler
Umm because health and personal care comes first over any deal? If you are not in good health what does any deal matter to someone?
In fact, in the end, only a few people will benefit from these kinds of games. Ordinary people are just asking for trouble.
What about MJJS? Are they asking for trouble? Or maybe they are asking for /dev/null, who knows...
is ticket needed for 2 x cpu? reading is hard. all good here. nothing to see here~~
Let me think about that. Actually, if we allow it, people will likely exploit it to resell for a profit.
pls pls me I am no resell me I am invite more idling customars to gcvps
sadly was not around ;(
interested in a storage one if anyone wants to transfer out. thanks
Allowing one transfer every three months per account is a reasonable practice? Anyway, using a temporary e-mail to scalp new deals will still work. Some flexibility for regular users would be welcome.
if you allow, would you also consider if GC credits can be used as part of transfer? maybe using GC credits could also give you visibility if there is exploitation
NOO! If the fast hand can grab without thinking and resell later, we the slow hand will have no chance at all.
Make it at least 1 year old before they can transfer.
Well I think the core problem is you buy too much and don't learn about temperance.
The best way to share is you see the deals but you don't become greedy and let those people who have real need to finish the order.
If people know they have an easy way to retreat from their impulsive decision, they will most likely to grab more and more deals without thinking twice.
You can not trust human nature.
It's greedy.
Only if there is no way to retreat people can learn to get real calm down.
Only rules can teach you how to be discipline.
@NDTN like in previousl threads, I assume these deals are for customers which already have some active service(s)?
Is there any way for a new customer to get these deals?
Not always the case. I can cite my own example where I do have both a 1 year deal and a 3 year deal in the same location. I had bought the 1 year deal BEFORE I was able to snag a 3 year deal. What will happen is that the 1 year deal will (eventually) expire (assuming I have no use for 2 storage VMs for e.g). Instead it may be of use for someone else. Since these are limited sales (and mostly only to active customers), I'd rather see them put to good use than just let them plain expire.
Of course the real issue is how to prevent the abusive scenarios.
While it is still possible to fake things (including email) and change it, I think broadly the no-transfer policy has helped stem the "trade" in these VMs.
We just have to figure out a way to allow the legit transfers and prevent the scalpers. Some of it may be just time barriers. Like a 1-3 month wait before you transfer etc. I'm sure lots of folks have thought about it (and figured out loop holes as well).
I'll just leave it at that for now till better heads can come together to figure out a good way to do something about it.
You can order any server from their website, normal priced or currently on BF and CM deals and become a customer. Then you can buy these flash deals.
That's shopping addiction and/or hoarding in general. The dopamine rush from purchasing and saving money is powerful.
While outfits from temu or games purchased at Steam could be used later, not using the server is a waste of money. It's like having multiple rental units that are not actively being used or store things. Future needs can be predicted, but it's still a prediction nonetheless. It may not transpired
Further reading, it seems I missed some context. Perhaps it's more similar to redundancies, which is understandable. I completely thought it was impulsive buying
