    Yes, I am going to be frank here. I was really concerned for the thread this year, as the RAM prices are nowhere near justified right now or has been like that since the past few months. But, as always RackNerd came through, for the community and proved yet again that the RackNerd BF threads is the party to be at every Black Friday!
    This year too, the Chef didn't disappoint with the flash sales. Too good this time as well. And, that Amsterdam VPS flash sale was the cherry on top!
    Now, I need to have big plans for next year's BF thread somehow.

    It does have its impact though. Not only ram prices, everything has gone up. The number of ridiculously cheap servers seems to me less this year.

    Oh yes, exactly when I was planning to upgrade the RAM atleast. I have heard GPUs are next on the list of inflation.

    True. I just noticed we are already at 1.2M views and we had hit 1M views 2 days ago. So, realistically maybe we could hit 2M views within 7 days or so.

    2 Years ago, when I first setup my VPS for hosting (atleast seriously), I gave up completely on these panels. Tried a few like aapanel, hestia, etc. Imo, they just added a layer of complication, atleast for me. I dunno if they are better now.

    For example, my project needed specific PHP modules that weren't built in by default and the server won't let me cause, I needed to have 4GB+ RAM just to build it. That's when I decided I am gonna do it manually.

    I like to do it manually as well. Used Vesta before it went to shita. Hestia is kinda ok when I'm lazy :). But got some reseller hosting whenever I can't be bothered to set up a sever these days.

    Oh yah! I can proudly say that as well, as I spent almost a month trying almost all the major panels of the time, before realising doing it manually was not only more fun but also highly customisable. Never went back to the panels after that.

    4 times shoveled yesterday and today. we actually had the most snow in 1 snowfall in 10 years here, according to news media. up to 30cm of snow in some places/.
