    I have a ryzen 9 7900. The official ruzen product page did say it had an iGPU

    Ooh, great timing. I just posted about it. Just follow the handles and then you will be asked to give Gleam's app access to your Twitter account and that's how they verify if you actually followed them.

    Yeah, it asked me forever ago (since I do enter gleam giveaways whenever I see them) what my @ was and that's how it verifies you're following.

    They changed it and I don't like the new method.

    Me too. I ended up buying an RGB case when I built mine though. It was the only one in my price range that had a front USB type-C port.

    Oh I don't think mine has USB c at the front haha

    It's convenient to have it on the front, for me.

    Oh, that's good then. Believe me, not having an iGPU is gonna be a headache in the future. Your PC cannot be used if the GPU dies. Smart move.

    I connected yesterday and to my dismay, once it was verified, I tried removing access for it and X being X said something went wrong for almost 30 minutes before I was able to remove access.
    Not that Gleam app requires a lot of access to verify, but, I still feel safer when 3rd party apps don't have access to my SM account.

    Correct, not every usb-c port supports it as some are just standard usb 3.1 or so with with a usb c connector. Typically only Thunderbolt/USB4 supports it unless they specifically say they support DP Alt mode or whatever.

    I am a huge fan and support for USB C as I love the one cable to rule them all!

    Yah, Thunderbolt. For the love of God, I couldnt recall that term. And, from what I can remember, Thunderbolt used to be a feature only on Intel laptops, right? Are they available on AMD as well now, or is there an AMD alternative for it, or was my assumption completely wrong from the beginning?

    Hi @noob404 -- interesting times for sure. We’ve noticed the same with RAM and certain storage lines. Even still, we've managed to pull off an amazing Black Friday 2025 sale, with some of the best prices in the industry.

    Yes, I am going to be frank here. I was really concerned for the thread this year, as the RAM prices are nowhere near justified right now or has been like that since the past few months. But, as always RackNerd came through, for the community and proved yet again that the RackNerd BF threads is the party to be at every Black Friday!
    This year too, the Chef didn't disappoint with the flash sales. Too good this time as well. And, that Amsterdam VPS flash sale was the cherry on top!
    Now, I need to have big plans for next year's BF thread somehow.

    It does have its impact though. Not only ram prices, everything has gone up. The number of ridiculously cheap servers seems to me less this year.
