How is everyone’s YABS running 24/7 on those 16C16G160G VPS?

    I don't know I never got one :(

Running solid, one of best NL connections i've seen, really good transit.

I like this version more (not directed at anyone of course):

All feedback I see here is more then welcome and will be used to improve our VPS line. <3

Two things: setting up 2FA on your website fails for me, I get an error saying that the code is invalid. I tried it multiple times, and for basically all other websites it's working fine and the time on my computer is pretty accurate.

And: are there any plans for IPv6 support? (Personally I don't really need it, but others are valuing this more (and I'm used to having two iperf sections in a YABS))

I think CPU passthrough is incredibly helpful, I use a lot of compressed files think it would be a big boost

    Will 16C16G160G not lose money?

    No, not at all. And:

    • This is marketing, so there is budget
    • And we get our profits from bare metal & IP Transit :)

all the YABS i have seen do not have ipv6 enabled. is it possible to get ipv6 assigned with support?

  • @djunior can you check invoice #552 ?
Credit card says paid. Your portal says it's not.
And maybe switch it for the 16c model as well ;)

If your order has been paid, no worries. We won’t cancel any orders until we have checked them all! :)

Will respond to the rest in a second, who got the deal for +- €3/yr because they used the coupon code? There was 5 usages!

  • @emgh said: Interesting, I did too and it didn't, they had to mark as paid

Yep, I think they had to manually accept mine as well. As long as the payment went through on your end, it's all good.

I think CPU passthrough is incredibly helpful, I use a lot of compressed files think it would be a big boost

Actually I don't think it would affect performance that much as the relevant features/flags are already passed through. (Passing through the exact model is pretty much optical only.)

From a server with the same CPU and passthrough:

    model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6122 CPU @ 1.80GHz
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss syscall nx pdpe1gb rdtscp lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon rep_good nopl xtopology cpuid tsc_known_freq pni pclmulqdq vmx ssse3 fma cx16 pdcm pcid sse4_1 sse4_2 x2apic movbe popcnt tsc_deadline_timer aes xsave avx f16c rdrand hypervisor lahf_lm abm 3dnowprefetch cpuid_fault pti ssbd ibrs ibpb stibp tpr_shadow flexpriority ept vpid ept_ad fsgsbase tsc_adjust bmi1 hle avx2 smep bmi2 erms invpcid rtm mpx avx512f avx512dq rdseed adx smap clflushopt clwb avx512cd avx512bw avx512vl xsaveopt xsavec xgetbv1 xsaves arat vnmi umip pku ospke md_clear arch_capabilities

    From this:

model name : Intel Xeon Processor (Skylake, IBRS)
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss syscall nx pdpe1gb rdtscp lm constant_tsc rep_good nopl xtopology cpuid tsc_known_freq pni pclmulqdq vmx ssse3 fma cx16 pcid sse4_1 sse4_2 x2apic movbe popcnt tsc_deadline_timer aes xsave avx f16c rdrand hypervisor lahf_lm abm 3dnowprefetch cpuid_fault pti ssbd ibrs ibpb stibp tpr_shadow flexpriority ept vpid ept_ad fsgsbase tsc_adjust bmi1 hle avx2 smep bmi2 erms invpcid rtm avx512f avx512dq rdseed adx smap clflushopt clwb avx512cd avx512bw avx512vl xsaveopt xsavec xgetbv1 xsaves arat vnmi umip pku ospke md_clear arch_capabilities

And it would make live-migrating between different models harder.
