Hi @labze, was waiting for this and tried for a long time to enter the site for the storage deal but the site didn't load. And now I get the "Package limits have been reached for all packages in the selected group". Will a restock be coming?

It's loading now, and we've been begging for more EPYCs for like 4 pages lol

  • @zeijit. Yes I know, but that was before the 3TB storage deal that was added to the main BF2025 thread. It was added, and then the site was down and then the deal is already gone.

Yeah it seems like something happened to the group ID, dunno what because it doesn't give any error but neither does it go anywhere but the overview.

The storage DAs and Threadrippers are still there though if storage is your thing but believe me I'm as ancient as anyone haha

  • @labze is it possible to negotiate a deal for someone genuinely looking for a good service from a reputable provider who can’t sit on the BF thread due to work? Most folks are gonna idle (guess that’s good for providers) or transfer 6 months down the road, so would be nice if we can have something for actual users. Thanks.

@brown2 said: Does anyone have any "yabs" type figures for the Germany and USA DirectAdmin Storage Boxes?

I am not sure which will be the best for me so having some figures for network speeds would be great. I appreciated things may be a bit busier than usual it is mainly just to compare either a Germany based server or a USA based server.

Something like below one for Germany and one for USA for DirectAdmin Storage Boxes?

iperf3 is not available on Storage Boxes. There is a static build on GitHub https://github.com/userdocs/iperf3-static.

I can run it for you from Germany to one or two YABS destinations near your area, tell me which ones.

The London Cloudvider London result is probably perfect location compromise for me to get an idea of speeds.

If anyone can run this on a USA DirectAdmin Storage Box that would be great  ?

Are there any other pros/cons apart from possible speed differences between Germany vs USA storage boxes?

    Thanks

Check the mail that you received. The IP address of the server and credentials will be there.

Create A record in namecheap and point it towards the Server IP.

Yeah, I use sshfs but you can use for example FTP as well

  • I don't with 500Gb storage box with nextcloud. I am only getting 4MB/s upload speeds.

    • Update Black Friday - Got the 20GB Threadripper. @COLBYLICIOUS - I've got a really high-performance stack that absolutely kicks the crap out of LiteSpeed Enterprise (and I am a big fan!). xCloud, NGINX with its built-in FastCGI cache for page caching, and wait for it...WP Compress - I got a lifetime deal a few years ago. I now have a little more understanding of caching, and WP Compress has come on leaps and bounds over the last couple of years, so I turned off the great caching options on this plugin (relying on server-side caching) and use this for Images and their CDN that now integrates with Cloudflare.
I've had a BuddyBoss site that has been persistently at D for years and is now at A. All of my other sites have seen a similar increase in performance.
Enhance still has a firm place in the mix and has the best API by far.
Really looking forward to using this Threadripper! Thanks for this great offer @labze

xCloud or Enhance? Can't decide between them. I want less headache so.. that's why I am asking.

Sorry for off-topic if I bother anyone, treat it like a bump.
