  • 9995WX Pro YABS?

  • yabs Threadripper 3 GB and MINI-EPYC BF2025 pls

  • Can't stay away from such a deal from @labze. It looks a lot tastier than in the past BF.

    Waiting for provisioning...

Then I'll benchmark, post here, and start on my projects.

Not going to order the top Threadripper plan because I think the compute score will be lower than my linveo AMD KVM VPS 8GB with its 8 Ryzen 9950X cores. hostbrr's plan does have more RAM (20 GB vs 8GB), but I need more CPU power than memory, and hostbrr is about $5 more expensive (16 EUR vs $12 USD monthly).

    This linveo VPS - https://serververify.com/benchmarks/6b9c78e6-9cdf-4da3-a5f8-fa606071b884

    CPU Goes:

    Turin -> 9995WX -> 9950X.

Benefit is 9995WX is due to higher core count noisy neighbors have less impact, so overall performance should be more smooth. If you are on a good 9950X node then it is the overall best CPU choice.

    Yes! Thanks for confirming.

I had looked at passmark numbers before ordering just to make sure
    Eypc 9655 Single Thread - 3847
    Threadripper 9995WX Single Thread - 4575
    Ryzen 9950X Single Thread - 4729

Does VPN issues in the past are resolved anyone knows ? GLWS btw nice deals

    Thanked by 1tushaar
  • Why not the other way around?

    $11/yr $10/yr ~1% DISCOUNT for 1c 1G 10GB

It would be interesting to see how many people buy compared to $15/yr for $10/yr 33% discount.

  • @cz83s said: how many people buy

Ill be the 1st one lol :)

  • GLWS

  • Honestly, seeing these new EPYC 9655 deals is painful. 💀
I grabbed the EPYC Anniversary Special (€90/yr) back in April thinking it was end-game. Fast forward to BF: same CPU, but Storage and Bandwidth are literally DOUBLED on the new offers.
Feels like a proper backstab. The "early adopter tax" is real with this one. 🤡

Please open a ticket. Don't really look at my DMs too much as I have hundreds of unread.

  • I squeezed the pulp of my computer all day to import these deals :D

@labze the issue I mentioned yesterday is solved now after some more legwork, if you had kept a mental note about it, just forget about it, all works good now :)

Lesson learned: next time I might just wait for Black Friday instead of jumping on the launch day hype train. 😂
But huge props to @labze for sorting this out! This level of support is exactly why they are my favorite provider. ❤️

    DirectAdmin Storage Boxes

    StorageBox 1 TB
1 TB NVMe Cached HDD RAID-60
    5 TB Bandwidth
    €2.5/month
    €15/year (Coupon BFBOX)

    StorageBox 2 TB
2 TB NVMe Cached HDD RAID-60
    10 TB Bandwidth
    €4/month
    €27/year (Coupon BFBOX)

    1. Will these auto renew at the same price of €15/year or €27/year?
    2. High unlikely but can you easily cancel via the control panel to stop the auto renew?
    3. Can these storage boxes work without a domain?
    4. If they can work without a domain what do you enter when ordering in the domain box?
    5. If you do not use a domain do you just access your DirectAdmin box via an IP4 address and un/pwd?
    6. Will this allow me to upload to storage via SFTP protocol? What DirectAdmin setup would I need? Can I add a specific user and authenticate via keys using DirectAdmin box?

    Thanks
