For the SYS STOR enthusiasts, they have removed them from the availabilities. Perhaps to fix the sas thing?

    When will SYS-STOR-LE-2 be replenished?😭😭

I haven’t even generated one order for a LE-number. Just not worth it. Kinda disappointing.

Same here. Also the order expiry is very short.

If I had to guess never, It's rare that they would restock storage server of that size

This is the most disappointing OVH BF in recent memory.

    Black Friday 2025
    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 8c/16t - 3.8GHz/4.7GHz
    64GB DDR4 ECC 2400MHz
2× 960GB SSD NVMe Soft RAID
    1Gbit/s unmetered and guaranteed
    $85/month

    Black Friday 2024
    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 8c/16t - 3.8 GHz/4.7 GHz
    64 GB DDR4 ECC 3200 MHz
    2×1.92 TB SSD NVMe
    $63.65/month

Looks like I'll just be renewing my 2024 commitment for another year.

Depends on disks age and bandwidth.

The one I got last year is also 1Gbps/1Gbps.

Disk age has never been a concern to me, also never had a disk fail in any of my OVH servers. The NVMe's from my 2024 one have 41,184 power on hours and 101TB writes which is less than 4% of the TBW, and even consumer NVMe drives can realistically take many times more than the TBW before failing.

Ordered a KS-LE-3 at BHS with “NVMe soft RAID.” It came with SATA SSDs. I created a ticket for this, but is this a standard thing and what is the likely resolution?

Welcome to the club. KS-LE-3 actually really looks like a rebranded KS-LE-E where they probably messed up the product description on eco.ovh. (KS-LE-E is the same but w/ 480gb SSDs and I never saw OVH using 480GB NVMes).

Had the same prob with a different model, they claimed they cannot build that one with NVMe instead of the delivered SSD. You might claim a refund though.

Thanks for the response. This is my first dedicated with them. I’ll ask for a refund if they’re unable to fix (hopefully with a refund of setup fees too).

Is this a common thing though or just this model? AKA: If I order another model with “NVMe soft RAID,” it would actually come with it, haha.

It seems like they've scuffed a lot of the descriptions for the BF sale, I think it has happened a few times but not that regularly from what I've seen (besides this sale ofc)

Maybe it is a good idea to look around what OVH normally builds, e.g. a E-2136 or E-2236 should come with two NVMe (512GB) and e.g. E3-1270v6 should come with two 450GB NVMes (always possible to get bigger disks by luck)

    They do have 450GB, 512GB,960GB,1024GB, 1.2TB, 1.92TB and 3.84TB NVMes, and with SSDs I know only of 480GB, 960GB, 1TB, 1.92TB and 3.84TB.

Your Rise-LE-4 is an anomaly, will be worth a tidy sum.

Some KS-MYSTERY got this setup with nvmes so its possible its just a guessing game in true ovh fashion :D

    @barbarza yes, I thought so.

  • This entire process is wild. Just trying to find availability is one thing, but then being delivered something different is nuts too.

I just need cheap + NVMe for a project I’m working on.

  • @joshskidmore said: I just need cheap + NVMe for a project I’m working on.

Probably KS-5 with NVMe is a better choice. Tick the boxes at checkservers.ovh to get updated about availability by mail.

Thanks. The KS-5 with 64GB + NVMe is the one I really want. I don’t even know if the combo even exists.

I can’t figure out the checkservers site. Maybe it’s because I’m on mobile? Just won’t let me check any of the boxes. I’ll try when I’m behind a computer.

For BHS this comes up more often than the 32GB one. Regarding checkservers.ovh: you first have to enter an email, then you get a individual tokenized link to subscribe e.g. to the KS-5 64GB NVMe BHS box and save (yes, it's non-intuitive but works). Also note that same info about models/prices might not be up-to-date at checkservers but for availability alerts it is still doing a good job.

You might instead use e.g. https://ovh.hos7.com/new/ or https://ovh.hos7.com as well. Might be easier to use on a mobile.

v3 and ssds seems to be the "default" as this is what it lists on my ovh dashboard for my ks mysterys

Ok. But haven't seen 480GB NVMe in OVHs world so far. E.g. I save KS-Mystery w/ E5-1650v4 with two 450GB NVMe but not 480GB NVMe. But everything is possible with OVH.

checkserver has its own way of working.
you need to fill your email address and then it will send you an email with a link which will re-open the page with the right to check the boxes.
