i am actually skipping my workout today.. woke up with ridiculous neck pain, probably caused by this thread..
can't turn my head to the right.. getting old sucks
I don’t care
But I think they have a location in France!
Oof. That's not fun!
With extra $5 I guess......

Hmm... you could use a managed switch and use Vlan taggin for your mutiple wan setup, but I guess if your buying three seprate devices then you'd be better off just combining all of them and uy a router for your needs lol😂
Can relate partially to that. I can't keep doing my workout for 10 days continuously due to the inevitable pain (and laziness) on the 10th day.
Well it's today, and thank you! 😄
oh yeah, i use it too, but that site allows you to download a little piece of the video from the very middle of it. it is a bit too much command line keys if you want to do it with yt-dlp.. nevertheless it's a super useful tool. especially for youtube downloads. although latest versions want you to use DENO or some other js processor.. but once installed - it allows for wonderful things.
Somewhere in the previous page, Dustin did reply to saragoldfarb about Dublin VPSes coming in stock this month ASAP.
That's what I am thinking of doing, getting a multi wan gateway, a good enough router, an access point and a switch should be enough for my needs.
Ah, then, @dustinc, we definitely need a sh97 special GA. But, what if sh97 doesn't win that despite this 100+Mbps connection? jk!
@sh97 today birthday? Damn son, happy birthday, party hard and let's ask bossman for some GAs on the way
If it works for you, then use it! I've rarely had an issue with yt-dlp and when I have, it's with just accepting the defaults/not passing args to specify video/audio quality. Though I do know some codecs/programs are required without it explicitly stating it.
Same for me yt-dlp works great and when coupled with a web gui it's just awesome.
Almost 40 pages, nice! How many pages did last year thread get?
Yah, while jd is great for the GUI, I sometimes have projects that require programatically downloading the videos. I tried yt-dlp for that an year or so ago, and it didn't go as planned. As I said earlier, I am pretty sure it was my ignorance.
NY is currently at 1046 and BF at 953. I had very driven competition from Ben on the NY thread and it shows
I went with an ubiquiti a long time ago, back when they were cheaper than they've been pushing out lately. Though, I'm still super happy with my setup! Though yeah, even an old PC with multiple nics, a switch, and an AP will make a great setup (what I originally started with when I got off typical home "consumer" products)
thank you - one can hope.
would love a chef entry, but thats reserved for the main BF event, so I'll be happy with some GAs, especially resource ones!
Infact, I only won my first GA, which I believe was NY 2024 because Frank was going for the 2nd spot.
RAM or CPU core, which one would you choose for your bday?
Lol that's some insane setup I can guess. Will look at nic cards if I can find some good ones.
see.. and here i am trying for 3hrs already and i doubled my posts and it's still only 1/3rd of yours, who started way after i did yesterday... so reevaluation is definitely going to help stay sane at some point.. although i do live in Chicago, so if I won - i'd get stuff mailed to me, while being in India gets you only the nerd-money
so you should just stop trying.
😋😋😋
@dustinc we need chef in the kitchen the party just started.
I'd probably choose ram, as that's my main bottleneck
LOL! How can I explain this? It's just animal instinct, the competitive feel and obviously the Ryzen Gaming PC that would have kept me going if this was just another normal year. But, it's not. So, you are safe. I am rooting for either you or Bas to get the gaming PC!
Some of us have won multiple times. It's time for you guys to step up to the first spot. But, as I said, this is not going to be easy.
My goal is to beat Dustin in amount of comments xD
That's an insane goal for sure 😁
Yah, most of us ended up choosing RAM last year, as everyone recommended getting RAM instead of cores. But, I guess, this year, I am gonna get more cores, if I do win one.
Yep. Last year I won $25 in credits, I think, which was nice. I hope I can get a bigger prize this year!
