My im not OVH customer
Still though
@emgh I had this with OVH LZ VIE for a week - network down on hypervisor without them acknowledging it, hypervisor could not even reach the disk.
this is a local zone as well, madrid, maybe they have non-existant monitoring as they rushed to get these up
Can confirm.
@emgh I can reach mine in MAD but probably yeah, monitoring of LZ can be improvement in EU (the US has internal monitoring for their LZ VPS, but don't see it in OVH EU LZ).
Submitted a ticket, what internal monitoring?
If you look at the status pages of OVH EU vs OVH US you will be able to find LZ VPS at US but not at EU.
(at least that was the case the last time I checked).
In general, OVH US is way better in professional devops/sys work as EU, e.g. you get mails about maintenance etc.
Elon wants us to move to Mars
insane that this is considered a feature in 2025
i have no idea why i recalled @allthemtings when i saw this image
hello my ovh vps is still down very disappointed with the cloud these days
I'm sure it is fine and will be back in couple minutes...
about 1h30m since it went down and no mentions or status page updates or ticket reply
finding a reliable and decent provider it s hard confirm it
idk - my skhron is up without issues
just saying...
my it s need many locations easy quick deploy one or two providaar
The Register finally published one after MS 362 went online again: https://www.theregister.com/2025/10/29/microsoft_azure_outage/
Just a quick update: VPS down for about 4 hours now and ticket created about 3 hours ago now i'm im not mistaken, no status page update, no reply to my ticket, server down
@OVHcloud when trying to mimic AWS and Azure maybe focus on their offerings instead of their downtimes
May be they switched to Windows 11.
@emgh 100% sure you will complain in two weeks (when the problem is finally settled with your MAD one) that the feedback form for the support ticket is not offering giving zero out of 10 stars.
OVH support for VPS is best effort and the one I had was the worst support I ever got by a provider.
Such a weird move trying to come across as Europe's AWS with bunch of newly launched managed stuff all the time and yet this is the service level
My experience with their dedicated side is much better, tech's notified by automatic monitoring and sent to check almost before you even notice yourself
You'd think VPS would be easier since they have direct, remote access to the hypervisor but seems not
Yepp, that - and hardware replacements - work really well.
But the VPS in localzones are VPS - not public cloud. They may have better support for public cloud.
They also denied a refund (fine, it's a buzz account) but: they also denied SLA credits (after one week of downtime) because the vps was up again when the SLA team checked the claim.
lmfao
who decided france was the correct country to lead european cloud
Got 9 min downtime this morning.

My OVH VPS is down for 24h now with no support response or anything
@OVHcloud impressively shitty service
I don't mess around @emgh when it comes to the craft.
