What do you think, confirm it
What is rather funny is watching some IT news outlets not reporting.
Those outlets have nothing published since the outage began. All journalists using Microsoft 365 under the hood and now not able to deliver?
(They were able to report on AWS outage though.)
Azure coming back up.
AWS is down, Azure is down, GCP will go down next Tuesday, and Oracle will be offline in 3 regions on Thursday, November 6th.
I curse.
The fucking start of WWIII would be to take all the big cloud providers offline.
I worked at Microsoft, yet Outlook 365 is less reliable than Postfix/Dovecot on a LET VPS.
Yes, a typical $3.5/mo VPS is more reliable than the biggest enterprise SaaS company's email service used by most F500 companies. And they said to not self-host email.
Not to mention the countless number of service failures I had when working there.
Gmail once every 2 weeks or so hangs on me indefinitely over IMAP via Thunderbird and remains out of service for 10-15 minutes. I want to believe that during those times their backend keeps accepting incoming mail bound to me.
Worked at MSP before. The amount of downtime of Microsoft365 services are too damn high for what they claimed to be cloud services that you can rely upon.
Losing millions
maybe microslop should host their status page on AWS
please no fires in Ashburn I have 5 vps's there OVH, netcup, Low hosting, greencloud, cyclone
I can't count how many conversations I got into saying "I worked at Microsoft and even I know their products suck."
I remember family gifting me a Microsoft hat, saying I should show off my Microsoft "credentials". I never wore it. I struggled at Microsoft for five years and want to shed the bad legacy.
I don't even use Windows at home, it's Fedora GNOME and macOS. In the past I've used Debian, FreeBSD and openSUSE.
I much preferred working at the startup or research environment I interned at (the former which failed). Or running a business. Heck, I'll take a smaller company or nonprofit over Big N.
Google Cloud has also recently gone down.
Free tier abusage think it confirm it
confirming it. OVH is the best.
Yes a well managed ovh server is much better than anything aws or google cloud or azure some of my servers having Uptime more than 1000 days
Layers of ever increasing complexity needed to do what they do, but also leading to a lot of complex code with lots that can break
@NDTN GreenCloud started their birthday sale then AWS was down for days.
@advinservers Just retocked their promo and Azure is down.
You guys need to chill on your marketing strategy.
Sorry... my bad. I'll keep that in mind next time.
So fiberstate probably moved their countries to languages API they use from AWS to Azure as AWS was unstable recently.
Now with Azure also down I'm getting the fiberstate invoice date not in English, also not in Spanish anymore, but (I think, not sure) in Chinese.
Thank you @fiberstate will this become a running gag?
All my homies use Alibaba Cloud 🇨🇳
M y it s big luv hoe vee ach Oles Bilou Baguette
One of my OVH VM's are down now
AWS and Azure mafia seek revenge
at this point i think i am a master jinxer.. confirm it @MannDude
down for like 30 minutes, not a single status page entry showing it, not any email
at least if you don't have monitoring, the monitoring can't be down🧠
Uptime canary it s not canaring
Are you starting a thread about this incident or shall I?
