I've considered this, but for the price of a decent dedicated server in the USA, I could get a VPS with proper enterprise-grade hardware and better performance

I didn't realise that the eco (Kimsufi) dedis are available in the USA. $20/month is a good deal. Not sure I'd use it for this particular project, but it might be useful for other projects.

I personally cannot feel easy to use kimsufi range for business, unless you already have a good high availability and disaster recovery plan

Yeah I wouldn't use one for business purposes, but a cheap dedi has its place.

KS-5 NVMe beats most VPS all the time esp. in terms of peace of mind and guaranteed resources.

While OVH does not have az in their BHS or VIN or HIL DCs, you could at least aim for different dc rooms (at least in BHS) for two machines and use keepalived with a failover ip.

Or mix two DCs by OVH and put a ha loadbalancer in front, e.g. anycast by buyvm - you just need 6 vps by buyvm (2 in LV, NY and CH each with keepalived as the anycast ip only goes unannounced if a dc is down). Would probably just need about 6 to 7 years to snap those 6 small vps from buyvm though (due to being oos all the time)

For personal use, I've got a VPS with HostHatch that's got 48GB RAM, 525GB NVMe, 40Gbps connection (soon to be 100Gbps as far as I know) for around $15/month - $550 every 3 years. I've never had any issues with it, so I've never needed to contact support about it. Not a dedi, but it's a decent chunk of a server.

My wife might be starting a business next year, and I didn't want to host business-related stuff on a personal server, hence this post. I wouldn't really trust a Kimsufi server for this purpose though.

OwnWebServers offers reliable VPS hosting in the USA with 8–16GB RAM and ~80GB disk space, ideal for business use. Their 24/7 support ensures fast response times.

I mainly use GreenCloudVPS and HostHatch for my personal servers. I like both of them, and GreenCloudVPS has great support. I'm not sure how good hostHatch's support is for full-priced plans (which is what I'd get) since the only VPSes I've got with them today are sale-priced ones. I could get two with two different providers and have one as a warm failover.

I was thinking Hetzner Cloud would be a good choice, since they have good support and their AMD VPSes are available in the USA.

Still searching for the right VPS? We’ve got you covered! Just drop me a DM :)
