Why did I gave away my Singapore VMs
So you can buy one more.
We have just added QRIS (for Indonesian) and VietQR (for Vietnamese) payment methods.
Love you!
nice, I believe it will be useful for monthly billing
@onidel fyi https://lg.onidel.com/ LE cert is expired
fixed
next release will include reserved IPv4 and hot snapshot.
I spent last weekend experimenting with AI models and automation, and turned that work into some new improvements for Onidel.
nothing major or breaking, but it was a lot of fun - and pretty cool to see how practical it becomes once integrated into our platform, and of course, everything is self-hosted in our infrastructure
Assistant chatbot
A new chatbot is now available to help answer common questions by using articles from our knowledge base.
-Ssssmarttttt- ticket suggestions
When you submit a new ticket, the platform will look into our knowledge base first to see if there is any relevant document that may answer your question directly and recommend you to read before continue submitting the ticket.
We have just sent out our very first newsletter, packed with a few updates ๐
High-Availability VMs
Previously, when a hypervisor experienced a failure (such as a hardware issue or kernel crash), all VMs running on that host would become unresponsive and required manual intervention from the technical support team to restart.
Now, the infrastructure continuously monitors the health of every hypervisor in the cluster. If a node becomes unresponsive, the system automatically detects the failure and seamlessly restarts the affected VMs on a healthy node within the same cluster - without any manual effort from the support team.
๐ Check out this article to see how Onidel VM automatically recovered and failed over.
Peer Server
(This function has been maintained for some time and has been reopened now.)
Peer Server is like having a backup plan built right into your infrastructure. Let's say you have two web servers behind a load balancer. Peer Server automatically places these servers on different hypervisors. So if one physical node ever has issues, your other server keeps humming along perfectly - and your visitors never notice a thing!
๐ Learn more about how peer server works and how to set peer server in this article.
Resource Alerts
Ever wished you had a heads-up before server issues impact your users? Resource Alerts has you covered!
Resource Alerts monitors CPU, disk, and network usage 24/7, alerting you when metrics cross your defined limits - whether it's traffic spikes, high resource usage, or potential security threats.
Set it up in seconds through our control panel (Resource Monitor โ Resource Alerts) and customise thresholds that match your server's normal patterns.
๐ Learn more about resource alerts, including how they function, how to set appropriate thresholds, and common alerting scenarios in this article.
1-Click Apps
Spin up popular applications like aaPanel, Printunl, n8n, and more in just minutes. No complex setup, no manual installs - just choose your app, deploy, and you're ready to go.
We are continuously adding more apps to the library. If there's something you'd like to see, let us know - we'd love your feedback!
๐ Read this article to learn more about using 1-Click Apps and the expected deployment times.
Good stuff onideal ๐
Do you selfhost Chatwoot or do you use their platform?
We self-host Chatwoot
@onidel IPv6 in looking glass is not working.

@onidel I always thought you turn red because of Indonesia independence day... or are you acquired by @crunchbits
looks like only traceroute is broken. can you try ping?
nah we just turned evil ๐น
I currently have Onidel VMs in NL, AU, and SG. Really happy with it
Looking forward to the NY launch
I don't think your ai chatbot is working as intended
Is the software that you are using self-developed?
wdym?

Seems fine to me, fixed my windows issue right up
you mean the panel? yes it is
and pls do not break the bot, it does not have any coupons
Nice. How is the overall experience? Really want to try using it with CaptainAI.
yes its very helpful
Challenge accepted!
really positive experience. it is quick to install and easy to get started, and I have not run into any issues so far. The KB editor feels a bit limited, but we can live with it. API support makes integrations with other platforms super simple. Chatwoot also has the mobile app, which is great for some use cases. Honestly, nothing to complain about :-)
Very very nice!
May I suggest setting up a redirect from docs.onidel.com to kb.onidel.com? @onidel
The former still shows up in certain search results (Kagi). Might be nice to have 1-to-1 redirects (e.g.
https://docs.onidel.com/policies/terms-of-service=>https://kb.onidel.com/hc/kb/articles/1756033443-terms-of-service), but even just a generic redirect to the main knowledgebase page would be handy.thanks, it's ddone. good callout
Reserved IPs (Floating IPs) are now live in Amsterdam and Singapore! Sydney will be available next week after scheduled maintenance. Pricing is $0.0045 per hour (max $3 per month)
Read more about our Reserved IPs here - https://kb.onidel.com/hc/kb/articles/1758882568-reserved-ip-addresses
And yes, Reserved IPs can be managed via API as well

Give it a try and let us know if you have any questions or run into any issues
