Do not use them, they are very bad .. especially their support team. Prices go up every now and then. VPS that cost $3 raised the price over time to $10

I understand some people want to offer a good service with unbeatable prices but it's a really hard equation to balance, so there has to be a catch or more most of the time.
I'm also aware of the fact that they're trying to change into the better, but it's hard to believe their "How we resolved the server issues of 2024" blog article when I still had issues on all my Contabo VPSs that were ordered before and even after the blog post was published.
I wish nothing but the best for them, although I don't think they can keep going without proper monitoring and stricter rules enforcement against the abusers
Generally no, especially their APAC because their bandwidth is ridiculously generous thus subject to a lot of abuse, the last I check which is last year, their bandwidth is completely saturated during peak hour.

they did make a post called how we resolved the issues of 2024. Did they actually resolve their issues in that post like they said? Because if so I'm gonna give them a shot because they're quite handy for what I need
Ok since I've had VPS with them, all what everyone else is saying is true. They oversell and you will have subpar CPU, disk is no better but ive seen shitty IOPS on other providers as well. What broke the camels back for me was the unstable network. First if for 10 days you have more than 100mbps active uplink they will throttle the link. You do not get 1gbps unless you overpay. Fuck these whats even worse is that the network had constant drops. They killed my VPS by mistake one time, but it was restored a few hours later to be honest. Thankfully I do daily backups of the whole server myself.
what's a similar provider I can go with that has decent pricing and is good and in central US
No idea about contabo but I balk anyways. Just because I think their deals suck and if you all say service sucks then.. time to put on a show.
OVH US unless your application I/O intensive.
In simple words, if your business is legitimate, they are the best (I have been using them for the last 12 years), and if you're not, they are NIGHTMARE.
