I am in the same boat, but you didn't include cloudflare. That's where I was thinking of going too. Is there a specific reason you left it out?
Cloudflare
I want to be able to use my own DNS, which isn't something cloudflare offers. I also use their CDN services for some of my sites and don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.
name-com
namecheap all the way
Sticking with namecheap
Cloudflare and openprovider.

It looks like dynadot is a little cheaper than porkbun, for .com at least. I used porkbun before transferring my domains to spaceship.
I used dynadot a long, long time ago. Back then, they had no full whois privacy. Your name was still public. It looks like they have full whois privacy now, though, including the name. Is that right? Does it cost extra?
tld-list still shows dynadot whois privacy as "unsupported."
spaceship It is a good option
Openprovider, Namesilo
Spaceship
Not true. Dynadot allows you to use the full whois privacy without any costs, extra or not)
Dynadot now is best -> Prices, Support, UI.
Did they update their management UI? or is it still old and retro?
Still old UI.
Anything, that is reliable and cheap.
Currently using internetbs and incognet
Currently using spaceship
Spaceship is my go-to. Hopefully, it won't be affected. Otherwise, I'll move to Porkbun which is a good alternative.
OVH & Namecheap
I had my domains on namesilo first because of some special discounts, then eventually moved to CF after they offered better renewal value
Cloudflare is restrictive compared to other registrars no?
All on the list, except for Njalla and Gandi
Yeah, but since almost 80% of my domains utilise CF for DNS and other services i don't mind being tied to them, well I am thinking of gradually moving all of my domains to open provider of we can short out the taxation and input tax credit scheme with them, I will happily ditch CF for them.
Do you mean nameservers being hardcoded to Cloudflare?
Had been using Namecheap, Spaceship, OVH and some local ones.
If things derail as expected, Dynadot seems to be the candidate to go if a replacement for the first two is needed. (Edit: Just found out: I even have some domains with Dynadot already)
But what is way more interesting: how to move registrars without having glue records etc. changed. Would love to see the option to first define the glue and dns zone before moving the domain name... (as DNS lies with some external, pro providers for DNS and not the domain registrars and their basic DNS)
I'm not sure what you mean by restrictive, but I chose not to go with cloudflare for now.
I like my privacy and I just learned that the cloudflare whois protection is only redactions of certain things. It seems like namecheap, which I am at now offers complete proxy protection and registration.
Perhaps I have nothing to be worried about? Maybe someone could shed some light on my possible misconceptions?
Cloudflare here, have one more domain left to transfer out of money grabbing GoDaddy
Yes
See above
Porkbun
yes fully free of cost
