There is no information on the website about who the seller is.
(This should have been a red light.)
What country is the provider from?
Are the terms legal?
(They don’t seem to be.)
Is @akerib a consumer or a business?
(In several EU countries, consumers have the right to a refund if the seller has not informed them of their rights, and it is illegal to waive or exclude consumer rights in the terms.)
@akerib, what company information is written on the invoice?
I'm a consumer
and I paid to
[email protected]
Garderbroekerweg 18
3781JB, Voorthuizen
The Netherlands
This is the information included on the Invoice
There isn’t a company registered at that address.
The Dutch legal requirement for an invoice are:
You should ask for a legal invoice or your money back. Alternative you can use this as one of the reasons for a chargeback.
As far as I know, it’s illegal to operate as a business in the Netherlands without being registered with KvK.
I can see that his Host Rep tag has been suspended.
Thank you so much for this information
We can provide you with a banana smoothie, would that suffice?
Is that what they call it in 2025
If sunny doesn't accept this offer, I will
stay away from @akerib !!
why
Malicious intent to do business harm because you couldn't get FreeBSD but in the end got FreeBSD anyway? You really shouldn't admit to this in public. SMH. Redflag.
The VPS host had other problems also, like extremely rude support and a dysfunctional control panel. I initially wanted it as a private proxy but ended up not liking it.
They even claimed to have a 30-day refund in their ToS but never honored it. After the PayPal dispute fell through, I decided to run an exit.
I've also sideloaded FreeBSD onto Verelox and HP Helion Cloud (via trial) the same way.
Verelox was an okay LEB host for its time, giving me 1GB when I only paid for 256MB. But had a tragic ending where an ex-employee wiped their servers in 2017, but by then I was using ITLDC.
HP Helion was a typical AWS wannabe where I ran a Tor non-exit relay during the trial, and failed for obvious reasons.
Common cold.
Low grade fever.
We'll drop dead soon.
A banana smoothie may cure us, so that the offer has been accepted.
For sure you pay Paypal so after 6 month still have buyer protection after paying VPS for 1.month then stating "I didn't use service".
but if you had a hosting provider you wouldn't accept Paypal for the same reason, people will start opening fake claims and disputes to get money back.
I am not defending anyone, but this is what it is!
I agree to this. It should be clearly mentioned that we don't offer banana for/on our servers
So the provider must list everything that is not included with the server ?
Correct.
By default, a server is expected to include:
Anything missing would trigger a chargeback unless listed.
Sisters and chickens, dont forget them.
