Is there any performance issue with it? I found the CPU load is 100% from 2025.08.01.

Do a power off and on. Some VMs bug out when migrated between different cpu models like that.

still same problem, is there any solution? My vps came from LUX to Switzerland at 2025.07.21, and all is good. But cpu load max is from 2025.08.01 to now.

seems works after shut down power in Stallion rather than reboot command. but still hope you can mail to notice customer this issue first. CPU 100% lasted for 7 days before I discovered.

    Cogent single-homed in CH?

Yes for now. We should have HE soon.

    Francisco

After all the stress of moving to CH has settled a bit.

Currently with the move to CH I'm unable to reach my vps via v6 from my isp (2003::/19 - AS3320). While everything else I tested from my vps via v6 or towards my vps via v6 from other networks seems to work perfectly fine.

I'm a bit unsure, if this is a fault of my isp, of course they say, the vps hoster is at fault. Or some side effects from the movement to CH datacenter and the currently missing HE uplink?

Its absolutely our fault since we're just cogent at the moment.

Once HE is up that should clear up.

Is there a time estimate on the HE connection for CH?

Not sure if you are still involved with the tickets but I raised a ticket over a week ago about high steal on the VPS (50+% steal) and have not heard anything back yet: #155630

Thanks for any help you can offer

I would power off and on, maybe you got capped.

For HE we are waiting on them to finish the billing side. We just got transferred to a new rep today so let’s hope they figure it out. The port has been down for coming up a month.

    Francisco

  • Thanks for the update on the HE port. Hope that the new rep figures it out.

Also thanks for the suggestion on the power off and on. I tried rebooting before and it did not change. But a power down and up on Stallion worked:

Green is reboot and blue is power down/up in Stallion. All back to normal thanks!

Anyone else had issue to disk layout/allocation ofter the migration from lux? my vm ran out of space and showed it was not running form disk?

    ~ # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
    devtmpfs 10.0M 0 10.0M 0% /dev
    shm 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm
    /dev/sr0 63.0M 63.0M 0 100% /media/cdrom
    tmpfs 1.9G 1.9G 0 100% /
    tmpfs 785.5M 160.0K 785.3M 0% /run
    /dev/loop0 19.9M 19.9M 0 100% /.modloop

after a reboot all files are lost and now the correct 80GB is showing. All was correct when hosted at lux.

That's a wild one, were you in a live CD...?

You can ticket and we'll look around, but that's nothing on our end. Data was copied byte for byte. Many nodes have been rebooted for kernel updates w/o fault and things like that.

You can buy on https://my.frantech.ca directly. Stocks random still, after the mix up on some nodes it ate into our available stock there.

The websites supposed to check frantech stock and only have the redirect when its out, but it seems to not work properly. I reported it to the guys to fix. Not my code.

Oh folks, I really want to taste some swiss cheese.

I don't might if it's old aged or even a fake label where someone made Luetzenburgish cheese, imported those into Switzerland and re-labeled it. I don't care as long as it is a xx23,xx24 or xx25 from 39 (so if you have any of those - 1G/2G or 4G in CH and want to transfer: DM me*, but only for those from frantech. Thank you.)

Or: to frame it differently: restock CH when?

*) btw if you read this after Oct 15th 2025, do not DM before first checking if I did not asked not to be DMed anymore in this thread. Thank you.

pardon my input as it has no value whatsoever but this post made me consider several possible reasons for a vps still being in Lux and made me lol and I had to say thanks.

I can reach my VPS via v6 again, latency via v6 from my home connection is now better then the v4 routing

Perfect :) Took a bit longer, but it required changing a cross connect location on the Equinix side. Glad its done though!

Well it was for sure a seamless change that I didn't even notice! Kudos for that Francisco!

  • Hello @Francisco,

Singapore feeling left out here… Any love for Singapore? :)

  • Is it possible to use BGP/anycast on new Cloudzy server orders? Don't see any mention of it at first glance.
