Every dedi provider should have something like OVH vRack
I like providers who can write short post themselves, without using Chatgippity.
And you can only use the snapshot for the VM that you made it from which isn't great. The best would be to start new VM with same specs and test restoring there from any available backup as I don't want to overwrite functioning machine unless it's already broken.
snapshots, a minimum 2.
As you started the option to customize (at least some of your) dedicated servers I assume that this really did not take off so far businesswise, here is why:
most of the extra disk options are out of stock all the time.
options are not flexible enough.
But as you have the system in place in your custom ordering system, you really should invest some more thought into this to take off as a business opportunity:
You do not need e.g. every kind of size for HDD disks, but it would be lovely to configure e.g. dual xeon e5 or scalable* or amd epyc with
a) ram options and
b) a mix of nvmes plus ssds or nvmes plus hdds (and at least e.g. 4 hdd spots and 2 or 4 nvme spots).
Also important: don't preconfigure the first disk or make it configurable.
Have a look at what @1gservers is offering. That is close to perfect in building up tailormade perfect server systems but with them still not needing to have a crazy stock (they only have two nvme sizes, one ssd size plus two hdd sizes).
Same with Hetzner that have 4 nvme sizes, 4 ssd sizes and 2 hdd sizes but most of their servers lack the option to have e.g. more than two hdds).
Some of those might need a 2U chassis, but most could work with a 1U chassis.
So find perfect chassis/base systems (Supermicro come to mind) to offer a flexible line. As you do run your own DC, this would be the perfect option to set you apart from other providers in Europe (without having prospective clients have to mail sales for a custom quote).
Also, unrelated to the above but this accounts for all providers: please always mention if RAM is ECC or non-ECC or on-die-ECC, esp. with Ryzen processors.
It could be somewhat problematic legally.
When you buy a service you agree to a bunch of TOS and AUP's associated with the service or product. Simply handing over the service to another customer means that the provider could end up with a customer that legally has not approved of the TOS/AUP's.
KYC is another problem. If you are legally obliged to know your customer, having them transferring ownership around to other people is a nightmare.
I'm not saying this is the only reason why most providers doesn't make it easy to transfer, but I'm sure it's one of them.
More 7$ deals !
Please see my previously started discussions on my profile.
The big ones are customer support communication over XMPP with OMEMO and not having to have JavaScript enabled in my browser.
^Yes javascript is horrible
Why a Ryzen 5 3600 costs the same as Ryzen 5 4650G?
Correct, I asked our lead tech guy here, who has seen a lot of different scenarios. He said the main thing is when they change it, it opens us up to fraud.
I really like your option to swap drives to < 15% usage, and you have the most convenient server lifecycle. No need to "cancel" upfront, just stop paying and the server gets released. My only suggestion is to expand other locations, otherwise keep it up. Your recent sale was really nice!
DMCA Ignore? can you please elaborate?
Hi,
.
We had an internal discussion about this and I have some news for you
In the world of servers, your email is essentially your ID. For us, it means we know who is responsible for the servers and who to contact if anything happens.
However! There is a way to handle it — it’s enough to transfer the cession.
Hope this answers your question
Well good thing your lead tech guy had an opinion.
Anyway.
After having to fight for literal fucking days with 2 different providers recently because I accidentally signed up via gmail account I've decided that from now on if I ever need to update my email I'll just cancel instead.
I genuinely don't give a shit about whatever battle you're fighting that you think is worth inconveniencing me but it's my dollars and there are dozens of you for me to choose from.
7vCPU
77GB Ram
777GB NVME
Custom control panel usable without JS, in the Lynx browser
Something I've always wanted to see is reasonably priced block storage on ALL plans including dedi ,vps etc.
Depends
Years in bussiness/trust
actual availability SLA (not uptime)
Offer stacking services if allowed ro buy multiple
Dont care about much, price has to match but thats the case with any product, bread, game or a server
It would be good if you checked. It's unfortunate that a company asks for advice, etc., and they have one of our nodes offline 96 hours
No technician is useful and can help us, only AI responses. Some even ignore our messages, knowing that they show no evidence of an attack. It's unfortunate.
Several messages were sent via private message/email, and they just ignore us
+120 hours offine
Invoices renewed on time, efficient attention, just ignore our messages, regrettable
dmca ignor
chargeback allow
ipv4 and ipv6
No agent gives us an exact answer, only speculation. The technicians, being their own servers, dare to review them. They only ignore messages. They give us KVMs with a black screen with nothing active. If they published the messages, they themselves would laugh at their sysadmins
Hello,
We are in process of verifying the whole situation and communication between you and the team.
I understand it had to be frustrating and the situation could have been handled better by our team.
Can you give us in private message an email address we can contact you this week after we internally will discuss the incident?
Hello,
Your message was answered
@Mevspace Why your offers here not getting visible?
Can you elaborate please?
you got 4 offer threads since july and non is public here: july 14, july 29, august 27 and september 17 are hidden. Can you elaborate why?
I still think the prices are the issue, otherwise dont know, you have a provider tag, that shouldnt be the problem.
