I want backups that work while the server is running. I don't want to have to turn off the VPS, take a backup, then boot everything.
A way to add storage without upgrading the VPS and losing any discounts.
IPv6. It's always a sign of incompetence for me when a provider can't offer it.
rDNS. Defined since 1987 it baffles me how many providers still don't support it.
cloud-init. A staple of cloud providers.
I can understand limitations with dedicated servers but VPS providers should look at cloud providers and copy some of their features. There is a reason anybody with a budget ignores vps and goes straight to cloud.
