$7 won’t be back at the moment. We have very limited availability for these and we’ve sold quite a few with a few restocks.

We will have some other cheaper ones but not as cheap as that.

It is legal. But the real problem is: I dealt with multiple providers who say "it's allowed", but freak out after the first automated Abuseipdb report. I mean, it's exit node, anonymity tool, abuse is just part of its nature. (but consider how you're helping those in need!)

As long as you don't break our TOS or AUP, engage in any illegal activities, and deal with the abuse reports within 48 hours, then you will be ok.

We would only suspend depending on the abuse report itself and the severity of the report.

They are general, it’s more for the abuse where issues will start to happen and you run the risk of suspension however as long as you don’t throttle the port or cause issues with others you would be fine.

We get abuse complaints for all sorts of stuff and pass them along to the client and you have 48 hours to deal with it.

If you want to open a ticket I can write it all there for you but my advice is as long as you don’t cause issues, illegal activity or get abuse reports and don’t action them you are fine.

Thanks for clarifying, let's get back to exits for a moment. For an exit, abuse mails are pretty frequent and all that can be done is countering with a template. IP address reputation will be nuked. Relaying illegal stuff is unavoidable, but it does not actually originate from the server, simply relayed - and that's legal. (otherwise nobody would ever host an exit right?)

Technical things are not an issue really, e.g. you (well, I as the operator) can throttle network. Not like I'll blast the cpu and port 24/7.

Sorry I'm so persistent - again, I had multiple hosts say what you're saying then fold - so let me ask the final time, is that okay on your network?

    Are exit nodes allowed? Thanks

Hello @email, As long as it’s legal it’s fine. However if we receive any abuse complaints we would contact you and may suspended your VPS depending on the severity of the complaint until you deal with such complaint.

Actually. Wow. I just read your AUP. Shouldn't have even asked, sorry!

    TOR – Open Proxy/VPN:
You may not run any public proxy services or any scripts that interface with TOR, including TOR relay, entry, exit and bridge nodes. TOR, public proxies and public VPN’s are strictly forbidden and we reserve the right to immediately terminate any account, without warning, found to be running these services.

    But. Bridges?

    So just to clarify:

Abuse reports - we would look at the report and see what exactly is reported and then forward the report to you, you then have 48 hours to deal with the report and remove, block and deal with whatever has been reported.

We’ve had many fakes reports, for example someone has sent a legitimate email and someone has reported as spam, we can see it complies with all the legal requirements, we still send the report so for example you can remove that user and to make sure your compliant.

If we noticed say 5TB per day getting pushed through the network, we would warn you and if it continues we would just limit your monthly bandwidth usage to 40TB but if you continue to push it through quickly we would then limit your port speed, we again warn you of this. Just so it’s fair for everyone.

If there is illegal activity and it’s brought to our attention we again would contact you to block and remove the content or person or deal with the best you can.

So yes it’s ok as long as you deal with any issues when they arise.

It’s like any user, if they do something they aren’t suppose to we handle it the same way as above.

Really appreciate taking your time. I think there's still a misunderstanding. Tor is an indiscriminate anonymity tool, one doesn't "block" users or websites, it's simply not possible. (don't get me wrong you can restrict ports for like anti torrent or mail and that reduces the volume but still https is the primary culprit) In fact I think doing so may put you into legal trouble. Being an exit node means websites see traffic as coming from you(r IP), means you get the reports. But it doesn't actually originate there it's just relayed from whoever is at the other end. Relays are by law not liable for whatever comes through them, IP reputation is another thing and that's what hosts are mostly careful about. Hope you understand now?

But I'm going to buy the server from you, we'll see. The first automated reports usually start to arrive right away. You have a 7 day no-questions-asked refund policy, right? How about service transfers? Again sorry for persistence.

Sorry, I don't use TOR so I'm not 100% on all the information. However I did have a look at the links you tagged.

If there is legal issues, your details would be passed to the correct department requesting them.

IP reputation is something we care about, we clean all our IPs and all our IPs are clean.

Our servers are located in California and UK, I would check the laws to make sure you are personally not breaking any laws because if we do receive a subpoena we do action them and pass all relevant documents to the law enforcements that request the information.

We do not condone illegal activities on our network but running an exit node isn't illegal, but the traffic coming through might be, remember its you who would face issues and not us because we only rent out the space to clients.

I'm sure we probably have clients running them already but we do not scan clients VMs so we rely on abuse reports or subpoenas to take action.

We do offer a 7 day money back guarantee but if the server has used a lot of bandwidth and we deem the service to have been used more than someone just testing the waters we would deny the refund due to abuse of people pushing a lot of data or mass mailing and then asking for a refund. If there was over 25GB of data used we would deem this as used far more than testing and it would be denied.

Hopefully that answers everything for you :)

@TeneT You are correct — if a user violates our Terms of Service, we take appropriate action, which can include suspension. That said, we often allow more flexibility than the TOS explicitly states, provided that users engage in prior discussion with us so we can review and assess their intended use. This ensures we maintain a fair and stable environment for all customers.

We have security measures and monitoring in place to ensure that no single user’s activity such as excessive port usage or bandwidth spikes negatively impacts others. Abuse of our services will result in suspension, port limiting, or termination, depending on the severity and nature of the abuse.

While the majority of our clients run legitimate workloads including CDNs without issues, in cases where resource abuse has occurred, we’ve responded by imposing bandwidth limits and port downgrades. Everyone is treated equally, and we enforce our rules consistently.

We do not allow illegal activity under any circumstances. At the same time, we respect client privacy and do not interfere with legitimate operations. However, any confirmed complaint or abuse report is addressed promptly and decisively.

Regarding exit nodes: operating one is not inherently illegal, but it is the responsibility of the user to ensure compliance with applicable laws in the jurisdiction where the server is hosted, as well as in the countries where the service operates, and to adhere to our TOS/AUP.

Unlike some providers who prohibit certain services outright such as game servers or legal adult content, our approach is more permissive. As long as usage remains within legal boundaries and does not abuse fair-share resources such as CPU or network capacity, these are allowed.

Ultimately, we prefer that users be open and ask us in advance if they are unsure about a particular use case. Our rules are clear, and they are enforced. We value our clients and aim to go above and beyond to support them while maintaining the integrity and performance of our services.

Actually.

    But. Bridges?

Yes that makes more sense. Thanks for your time!

So, I wanted to buy but got flagged, could you please push through invoice #11302?

I'm sure we probably have clients running them already but we do not scan clients VMs so we rely on abuse reports or subpoenas to take action.

You actually don't, only a single guard.

If you have failed the fraud check we won't override it. You will need to make sure you use correct details, no IP proxy, VPN etc to pass.
