Is FDCServers good?
Hello
Recently in chats with FDC, the sales team has no coordination or idea of their colocation.2 Different people sent me 2 different quotes, First one had lesser pricing then the other.I had to ask myself them questions like is PDU provided by them or not. Some DC's provide cables, some don't they don't even provide full colocation details. Is FDC reliable for colocation? Anyone has long term experience?

FDCServers is basically oversold Cogent with dirt cheap pricing, I heard from one of my current clients (who moved from FDCServers) that the support there generally is clueless and knows nothing
FDC used to resell Cogent, but they've changed their entire business in the last two years.
I've only had great experience with FDC support. But that was in 2021. Not sure how it is nowadays.
from my chat with them, they seems like they are clueless and knows nothing.
FDC doesn't use Cogent any longer in the US, but they've had outages on their network in Miami and Los Angeles nearly every month now.
I'd say up to 10Gbit bandwidth they are fine, anything higher than that is a hit or miss. I had bought one of their 100Gbit servers. It worked great while I was in the refund window and hit 70Gbit, but a week later during the weekend, I could barely get 15Gbit upload.
Support wouldn't really admit to any issues on their side and kept pushing for an OS reinstall. Eventually after the reinstall, the speeds were still the same. Just a huge inconvenience since I gotta pay someone for installations, and the server itself hadn't even been rebooted or logged into over the span of the week and the speeds just dipped without cause.
Also I used to get a lot of dropped packets on incoming connections, not sure if that was their anti-ddos kicking in or just bad peering on their network. I mainly bought from Netherlands and Ashburn locations.
Also they are not DMCA proof at all. With their main office in the US, they will null route your server for the lightest of complaints.
Good to know thank you for the review. now they are out of my list. we need them for 400Gbps,

They just let me hang there without any solution until those servers expired. (For like over 2 weeks.)
