Still Offline, KVM-26.CH.BUYVM.NET
Seems like mine went online somewhere this morning, currently in a mad dash to fix my complacency and do some damn backups before something else happens. The LUX outage having brief uptime in the middle of things has left its mark, lol.
Pm me your ip and I’ll take a peak. It might be a vnc port conflict.
Francisco
My guess is the same as lurch for you. Go ahead and pm me.
as of now only 1 node is pending fixing, but everything that went to NL has been pulled and restored to CH. next stop is cutting over to the juniper and getting bgp and routed ranges back up.
Thanks for your patience!
Francisco
PM'd my good man
>
No BGP yet.
Dear xx xx,
This is a billing notice that your invoice no. xxxxx which was generated on 07/22/2025 is now overdue.
should I stay or should I go ?
Still huge 100+ ms all cogent routes also.
not useable in anymeans.
Anyway paying late invoices now and see for the future....
NL will always have better connectivity than CH, by far
The latency is on the ddos ips. The Cisco switch acting as our router was misbehaving with Path so we route it from New York to CH.
I intend to cut over to the juniper today which fixes bgp, ipv6 subs, and path latency.

@Francisco
Still stuck in KVM-56.LU.BUYVM.NET, is this node K.O. or what
No network. Its happily sitting in CH.
I’ve put in a work request to the DC to patch some Ethernet to it just so it’ll be online.
We have an additional order of fiber and optics on the way but it still takes time to ship.
Francisco
Thanks to Frans efforts my vm is now back online.
BGP and the latency have been fixed
Francisco
The KVM-43.CH node has remained in STATUS_UNKNOWN
Pm me your ip and I can check. Or send a ticket
Francisco
Check your PMs - I've sent you the info.
You're all set.
Francisco
All good now! Thanks for the help o7
@Francisco I've only just discovered this thread. I've been using your services since April 2011, and looking at your whois that was just one year into the BuyVM story. It's been a great ride. A few bits of downtime, but you've always explained it clearly and learnt from it, and honoured your SLA. There's been no question that you're a hard-working guy with integrity, running a provider that isn't going to stuff people over. I'm not one to write the new owner off automatically, but having you personally at the helm will be missed. Thanks for all the ponies.
Is provisioning delayed by the move from LUX to CH?

Akash is working through orders, its been going well.
We're fixing/sorting some issues with backups but past that alls well.

Hi @Francisco
I have never received this email, and I have over 20 VPS with Frantech/BuyVM and have been your customer for at least 7 years now. I did find out you were moving from LU to NL (turns out - to CH) when 1 of my VPS was briefly offline a week or two ago.
I also have 5 servers with ridiculous STEAL. What can be done about that? I've asked support about this in multiple tickets, to just be indirectly accused of doing something wrong. All my 20+ servers are doing same work, and 5 that I mentioned are doing 3 times less work than others, yet CPU STEAL is outrageous.. It seems the only way to deal with that is to give up those servers.
I understand that my "premium account" status means nothing, yet I thought there could be some respect at least for the amount of time I've been your customer.. Where do we go from here? Should I just find acceptable deals elsewhere and replace servers I've had with you for so many years?
This is quite frustrating.. Today another 1 of my servers was moved and was offline for over 1hr. When I asked your team how do I know when you are doing such moves, the reply was that the server was back online. I get it, everyone is busy, but what am I supposed to do?
Thanks for your time.
It's on the website: https://my.frantech.ca/cart.php?gid=39
@Francisco Would you mind update the peeringdb (https://www.peeringdb.com/asn/53667) info to reflect the CH migration? Thanks
Was that directed at me? What is "on the website" exactly? A page where VPS are sold? I do not see your point..
Not replying you.
@bchot any communication issues are to fall squarely on me, don't hate on the guys at all, they do what they're told and work with what i supply. The change to CH threw a wrench into a lot of the planning so things went sideways. I kept the Discord, and this thread, somewhat up to date but emails were crickets.
As for your steal, my guess is you either got CPU capped or it bugged out from the change of CPU models. A power off/on should fix both. Failing that, PM me the IP's and i'll take a look.
Francisco
Cogent single-homed in CH?
Crates works as a shared hosting plan or a reseller package?
Yes for now. We should have HE soon.
Francisco
Crates are very large resellers.
Francisco
Is there any performance issue with it? I found the CPU load is 100% from 2025.08.01.
