  • So any deal in this thread? $3/year flash sale pls

MJJ only wishes to benefit themselves and doesn't want others to gain any advantage. Exclusive ownership is what satisfies their vanity, and when it's no longer needed, they can resell it at a higher premium. Those who have already obtained it are now starting to worry about troublesome neighbors and unsustainable provider costs. Take it easy—you can't please everyone.

Not quite, anyway not generally. Depends a lot on perspective. I for example got one as a reference due to its good connectivity. And it also makes sense for well over a billion people, and I'm not even counting Indians here. Simple reason: one can reach a large region with about 100 ms to 150 ms stripped off.

No, it makes no sense to get a vps in India unless your market is India. If your market is oriental Asia, it makes much more sense to get a vps in SG, HK, JP, or even west coast US. This argument is even stronger especially with restrictive Indian laws, and the bandwidth limit makes it no better than SG. $32/year is practically giving them away, and that in itself tells you a whole lot about the demand for it. There's no other perspective. You can run yabs and feel good about the connectivity, but at the end of the day, it's nothing more than a poor but cheap substitute for a good vps in Singapore.

We sell Singapore too, and with 25TB BW, Leaseweb ones.
Currently Singapore vps with that much bandwidth is also to good to be true, but not one complaining because it has leaseweb names

India VPS is very good alternative to Singapore VPS.

I am not saying India vps is better than singapore, but its very good alternative now.
If price of india vps will be less than singapore, then many people will choose india.

We used to sell singapore vps to indian clients, or to other neighbour countries.
Now they are ordering India VPS as well.

From the perspective of network latency, Indian VPS can sufficiently cover most of the Asia-Pacific region. It may not be as direct as using JP/HK/SG locations, but the hosting costs in those regions are exceptionally high. The latency from Hong Kong to India is around 90-100ms, and from Singapore to India, it's about 70-80ms. I believe that using a reverse proxy can provide a decent experience for most regions. I'm in China, and I use servers and CDNs in Hong Kong for reverse proxying. The Leaseweb JP/SG offers you provide are also excellent and can further reduce CDN origin-pull latency.

    Well, this is LET ...

    @artxs said:
@Kerger I think you overestimate the number of people who want an indian vps. I'd guess a majority of anyone who want a vps in singapore or japan or hong kong are chinese users who need to jailbreak out of their country, or people who want websites for people in china. They don't want a vps in India because it's far from everywhere. Most likely, the people who bought indian vps are either hoarders or local Indian users. The hoarders will be idling them, and having idle vps is better than having no vps with zero revenue.

Not quite, anyway not generally. Depends a lot on perspective. I for example got one as a reference due to its good connectivity. You could have said gosh this is definitely unsustainable and so we should not purchase this because we are nice!

Well, I intentionally did not get or even try to get one of the @FAT32 specials but a (quite decent) normal one. Two reasons:

    • while I'm very confident that @HostDZire can and will easily absorb any "damage" I still find the whole thing weird and basically abusing HostDZire's friendliness and good will. and I definitely do not want to harm HostDZire. But I respect that Fat32 basically apologized.
    • I simply do not need such a VPS beast. 2 or 4 cores, 4 or 8 GB memory and a decently sized SSD are damn good enough for my needs. And for the few use cases where that isn't sufficient I simply purchase an adequate (physical or virtual) machine.

To be frank, normally I would hold the FAT32 special against the provider because it would harm my trust in them. But I don't because HostDZire earned to be in my personal Top-3 list due to good prices, good quality, consistency, and good support.

Finally 120 VPS is next to nothing for a provider like HostDZire a provider who is good end big enough to be a significant Leaseweb partner and those who seriously wonder whether HostDzire still is financially stable just make me laugh out loud.

That said, still please don't do something like the FAT32 special again! You are a serious top provider so please act like that!

Thats what i love about LET <3 , there are many good guys here.
We didnt expected this much support from LET users honestly,

I know many of them only like deals, but many of them also support the provider so they can keep being in business and contribute more whatever is possible.

@FAT32 asked us to offer only 5 :D
Because he knew its insane deal and cant be offered more.
Its only me who took that same idea and sold more of them.
Due to multiple requests, we decided to clear our pending stocks.

    1. We have server owned lying there unused.
    2. We have bandwidth available lying there unused.
    3. Only thing left is power uses cost, that can be easily manageble because we still sell 80% of those India VPS with regular price

I disagree. I chose the @HostDZire India VPS because all considered it serves me better than a SGP VPS. For Japan I don't know (nor care) but for both SGP and HK there are common negative factors like small space ~ expensive DCs, high demand - and cost - yet not exactly plenty bandwidth, hence high prices and low traffic volume. Remember that I did test a Leaseweb/@HostDZire VPS in SGP,yet all in all I came to the conclusion to be better off with a HostDZire India VPS - and no, I do not address India (and if I did I'd still be better off with the VPS I got) nor for Asia.

Btw, I never run yabs and while I agree that the Leaseweb/HostDZire SGP VPS is a decent VPS with an almost insane traffic volume, I decided against it.

But of course your or anyone's requirements may be different from mine.

Somebody link this deal that made @HostDZire seem unsustainable, it must have been a killer and I wanna see what I missed!

First I really feels like I should say sorry about this... it all started as a joke as I am a little bit bored with work and it is already like 2am for me.

    Here's the specs:

    • AMD EPYC Inside
    • CPU: 16 vCPU
    • RAM: 32GB DDR4
    • Storage: 240GB NVMe
    • Bandwidth: 8TB (In+Out Both Counted)
    • Port: 10Gbit (Shared)
    • 1 IPV4
    • Port 25 is Blocked
    • $32/yr

It was supposedly to be a 50 people event (where 50 people tries to get the 5 limited FAT32 special deal), but it ends up selling about 30-40 instances of such deal because @HostDZire is too drunk and forgot to set quantity limit, so everyone should be happy.

HostDZire additionally helped to release a few more limited stocks to some of the members here, which roughly adds up to about 50 instances sold. A while later, HostDZire joined a similar hosting community and offered about 50 more instances as far as I am aware.

During the process, some other variants of it was sold (From range of $48-64), but the quantity is not known. And just a few days later, there's a round 2 on both platforms after gathering 200 likes and another 20-30 was sold at price of $32/yr.

So in total there's probably about ~120 of $32/yr sold and unknown amount of $48-64/yr sold. I feel rather sorry because this is definitely losing money and hope that they can recoup it back from other means.

I have seen them being attacked by people who didn't managed to get it and poor Trustpilot reviews just because of that. Thanks HostDZire for the craziness and hope people can stop bothering them because that amount of insane deal is not really seen of. Please understand that provider have no obligation to make unsustainable deals.

@HostDZire please release more stock I will send a small gift for you using swiggy/zomato

Well, maybe you will also encounter a situation in the future where you bought a server for a year, but found out after a few days that the network is not suitable, and then the merchant cannot replace your computer room.
