Bill Gates announced you can use MassGrave it's free, good luck my friend

Hints why we as a host will rent you a VPS with Windows installed but not activated. We even have several Windows ISO including server ones and even 10,11 (LTSC or regular), and even Government edition (English version) and Enterprise editions available.

But - we specifically tell everyone we don't provide a license. We install it with the "I don't have a license key" option - how they activate it after is their business.

Use of MassGraves now days is so common, it's pointless for us as a provider to even offer licenses. Makes more sense to just offer it "bring your own license" and I'd assume (no hard facts here) 99.99% of customers are activating with MassGraves and that's their choice - not our business to check it even if we had a way to - we aren't the police.

There are cases of Microsoft support themselves using M.G. to activate when legit licenses don't work. And Microsoft doesn't care because it isn't their main source of revenue anymore. They are developing windows just to lock people into their ecosystem. Their main product now is their cloud services.

Finally someone who understand. They don't even care, they also not looking .

Is it even possible to BYOL legitimately to most VPSs? Doesn't a license require that you own the hardware, or that the provider of the hardware be part of the SPLA (in which case they'd probably be offering you a license in the first place)?

  • Where can you get a cheap w 2015 ltsb or 2016 ltsc license?
And where can you download an official iso for it?

The isos you can also find at massgrave

  • They are not from ms servers

For LTSC You can just change the key from ms windows iso AFTER install, then activate with MAS.
To avoid some services/addon, even install enterprise version, then change key, and act.
In fact most version install with the same iso when you delete the ei.cfg.
Don't forget that you can customize with autounattend.xml

No they are not, but you can check them with md5

md5 verify only data integrity, so not ms iso can't be verified with ms md5. Right ?

    Microsoft has their own md5?
You can compare the md5, sha1,256,512 to another one just like any iso. If the hash is different, then its not the same iso you compared it with.

    own iso...

  • I'll pass. It's too much of a risk to use unofficial .iso.

Definitely is. For example on a KVM VPS, a windows license for say Windows 11 bought through the Microsoft store or 3rd party sellers will activate just fine and can indeed be linked to your Microsoft account and activated as a "digital license".

Yes - they provide MSDN / Microsoft direct server links on their forum...

    https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links

Notice the first link here... Blahblah.microsoft.com - it's 100% official Microsoft link - from Microsoft servers.

Where are you finding unofficial ISO? The days of hacked / cracked / torrented ISOs are long gone. Microsoft provides direct download link to ISOs...

    Example: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

It will only allow you to download the iso if you're not running windows already. So download it from a Linux live CD to a USB - or use a mac - or change your user agent.

Microsoft doesn't hide ISOs anymore. And they don't care who activates it how...

Get the ISO evaluation version directly from Microsoft, and then you can activate Windows license from any source. It's super easy these days.

I think he's talking about this page, some of these links use drive.massgrave.dev, not the official Microsoft ones.
