Bill Gates announced you can use MassGrave it's free, good luck my friend
It's legal?
(One of my friend wants to use for his company so he's little scared)
Will the FBI raid your house: No, Is it legal No. Will they check it: No, Do you know anything about it: No
It has been hosted on Github for years and Microsoft owns Github.
Ah I see
I have used this one from reinstall.sh (chinese) or something like that on GitHub , but since they want to use for company so little worried
MassGrave is an amazing piece of software. While the software itself might be legal, I don't think using it to activate Windows is.
If you are using it for development/test/evaluation purposes and don't run production workload you should be okay with Windows Server OS that is not activated. The evaluation period allows you to use it for 180 days.
There are ways to extend this 180 days multiple times, although for company use, you should check with your provider.
Microsoft probably wouldn't care about a person using massgrave at home since it's not worth their effort, but they have every reason to go after a company using it. Definitely think twice before using any non-official approach for activating Windows as a company..
Just go buy a refurbed one for 10$ - they can do invoices for companies aswell. A couple of days ago I just bought one for my company.
You bought referb vm ?
@saahib No - for my computer. But since is only 10$ and can be used anytime, not worth to use any magic tool.
massgrave is good for personal use but if you plan to use in workspace/enterprise its better to get a legit license. You can get them really cheap on a lot of sites ~10$
Hummm, not so simple on VPS/KVM, be sure the licence used is autorized by M$.
Example Hetzner is not allowed to host Windows 10/11
Can I use Windows 10/11 on a server ? No, the Windows End User License Agreement (EULA) explicitly forbids using Windows 10 or 11 on server hardware. This isn’t a gray area or a technicality — Microsoft has made it abundantly clear. ℹ Windows EULA c. Restrictions. The manufacturer, installer, and Microsoft retain all rights not explicitly granted in this agreement. That means you must not do the following: […] (iv) Use the software as server software or for commercial hosting, make it accessible to multiple users over a network, install it on a server for remote access, or install it on a device meant exclusively for remote users; […] We are not a "Qualified Multitenant Hoster" (QMTH). As a result, Enterprise and Education editions of Windows 10/11 fall under the same restrictions. Simply put: We do not and cannot provide Windows 10/11 ISO files for you.Source: https://docs.hetzner.com/cloud/servers/faq/#can-i-use-windows-1011-on-a-server
where?
especially a used license is wanted here (for a friend): windows 11 iot enterprise ltsc 2024 x64
@zmeu @aluy
There is no existing enterprise licence refurbished legal...
Iam using MassGrave for bussiness already for 8 years, never had an issue I really don't care about Microsoft, also people need to start grow a pair and stop being chickens.
use uupdump.net for iso you wish + include redhat virtio drivers + schneegans.de for personalization
MAS_AIO.cmd for testing.
I'm looking for a cheap Windows Server 2025 Standard license. I see some online for $13 but idk if it's worth trying.
it will most likely work, but why pay $13 when you can use massgrave for free?
I'm not sure how massgrave works. I'll take a look into it to see what it actually does.
That's what I was saying
It's explained on the website you only have to cope 1 line off code every crazy person can handle it
I will go against what most are saying here.
If it is for personal use, you can use even shady KMS pico activators. Who the hell wanna see your dick pic even if online? Even MS doesn't care when it is for personal.
But if it is for corporate, don't try this. Buy a proper license. The tolerance level goes out of the window when it is for corporate.
Echoing @itachikonoha ,
Realistically speaking, most personal & SMBs won't have much problems if you use home / pro licenses obtained from third party, or not recognized by Microsoft as Genuine (licensed to the entity).
But if you are a business and want to stay within legal boundaries, it's better for you to buy genuine Windows activation keys or subscriptions from Microsoft (direct) or any authorized partners. It's definitely much higher than buying from gray markets, but might be necessary if the company has "potential", just to avoid future troubles.
@hyperblast core-software dot ro. I am not sure if I am allowed to post such links but I apologize in advance.
is it must windows?
because linux is literally free.
I can see that, but that 1 line of code downloads and runs a 20k line script. I mean I'd like to at least have an idea what it does to the system.
Simple; Lawsuits.
Hints why we as a host will rent you a VPS with Windows installed but not activated. We even have several Windows ISO including server ones and even 10,11 (LTSC or regular), and even Government edition (English version) and Enterprise editions available.
But - we specifically tell everyone we don't provide a license. We install it with the "I don't have a license key" option - how they activate it after is their business.
Use of MassGraves now days is so common, it's pointless for us as a provider to even offer licenses. Makes more sense to just offer it "bring your own license" and I'd assume (no hard facts here) 99.99% of customers are activating with MassGraves and that's their choice - not our business to check it even if we had a way to - we aren't the police.
There are cases of Microsoft support themselves using M.G. to activate when legit licenses don't work. And Microsoft doesn't care because it isn't their main source of revenue anymore. They are developing windows just to lock people into their ecosystem. Their main product now is their cloud services.
