  • so I only use Prepaid Host to compile Openwrt, 26GB RAM, 16 CPU and 300GB SSD should be able to cope with this no issue.
It's been nearly a year fully paid up, today my rootserver has been blocked with a trex warning.

No contact details, so I have had to create a ticket to support asking why I cannot use the server as I have for nearly an entire year without issue.

I shall update as soon as I get a response.

  • Do not but from this provider.

They said: ✅ Less than 10 TB per server per month is ideal.

In the first three days of my service I just used 4TB and their rationale was that you have succeeded your fair policy and they have limited my server.

Excuse me, but how could you throttle my bandwidth even before this limitation has reached?? At least, you should wait until the 10TB threshhold is reached.

This is just yet another example of bunch of guys selling servers in forums unprofessionally. I am sorry for wasting my time with this provider.

    Their response :

"You are using a low-cost plan where system resources are shared among multiple users. As stated in our Terms of Service (§ 2.3, § 6.2, § 6.5), we reserve the right to take action in case of excessive usage to maintain overall system stability."

So, if this is the case and this is your policy you have to clearly state that there is no 10TB policy and you're doing this based on daily usage etc.

As I said, keep away from businesses with shady and unprofessional policies.

Will not follow-up this thread because it's as useless as their services. Let them talk and justify their actions...

Would you buy from someone who couldn't withhold his promises?

  • Not taking any sides but 10 TB per server per month may mean 10 TB spread over 30 days. So max ~1.3 TB allowed usage in 4 days.

    Let’s clarify a few things.

This user purchased a €3.65/month VPS and started pushing 4 TB within the first 3 days, aiming for a projected 100+ TB/month — all on a shared-resources plan. Expecting this kind of throughput on an ultra-low-cost product and calling it “fair use” is completely unrealistic.

Yes, we stated that less than 10 TB/month is ideal – that doesn’t mean you get 10 TB guaranteed, nor does it mean you can burn through it in a few days with 300–400 Mbps constant throughput. Fair use on a shared system means reasonable, sustained usage that doesn't impact other users.

We didn’t instantly throttle or ban. We contacted the customer, explained the situation, and even offered a custom solution for sustained high bandwidth – which was ignored. Instead, they chose to post here.

We’re transparent about our policies. We don’t promise “unlimited everything”, and we won’t sacrifice service quality for other customers just to accommodate extreme usage on a €3.65 plan.

If your project needs high, constant traffic – no problem. But that’s a different product, at a different price point.

[P/S: any plan on new locations?]

Appreciate the concern. No plans to deadpool – just running a sustainable business, even if that means saying no to 100 TB/month on a €3.65 plan. 😉

I’ve been running Prepaid-Host since 2018 as a side business and moved to full-time operation almost a year ago. We’re here to stay.

New locations? Nothing concrete yet, but it’s definitely on the radar. Deploying new sites with our own hardware, network and cluster setup takes planning – so it’s something we’re open to, just not immediate.

  • "We didn’t instantly throttle or ban. We contacted the customer, explained the situation, and even offered a custom solution for sustained high bandwidth – which was ignored. Instead, they chose to post here."

Complete lie. They did not contact me in any shape or form. ONLY AFTER I DIRECTLY CONTACTED THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM, DID THEY BOTHER THEMSELVES TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION.

I am just a customer like everybody else on this website. I shared my experience with your services. There is no need to project numbers and estimates or get defensive. I kindly asked that you interpret your terms if 10TB means this number is not guanranteed or should be used this way or that way.

Wouldn't be better if sellers disclose the true limits of their services and say numbers they CAN guarantee? Otherwise this place would be full of providers who claimed 1,000 TB per month but throttle in the second day?

No worries in the end. Future customers will have to purchase more cautiously.
    I wish you the best.

  • And I had to add this:

I pity the constant reminding of 'paying only 3 Euros and expecting this and that'. So basically, customers have to pay €100 to expect customer service and clear limits for their services?

This is just sad. I read the terms and saw 10TB for the price and took it. Limiting my service when I paid fot this threshhold and justifying it by the 'price of the service' is text-book unprofessionalism.

    We’ve double-checked the timeline internally:
Our notification email was sent at the same time the throttling was applied — not afterwards. So yes, you were informed.

Also, for context: we’ve had very few issues with our fair use policy. Most customers understand that €3.65/month plans are shared-resource offerings, and they use them accordingly. The vast majority stay well within the intended scope without problems.

That said – if you feel this model doesn’t suit your needs, that’s totally fine. We genuinely wish you the best with another provider that fits your usage profile better.

Diverting the responsibility of recognizing your true limits to customers just because the price is low is what I mean the whole time: Instead of apolgizing for your lack of clarification on this thread and your website you just blame the customer for not knowing what you mean by " ✅ Less than 10 TB per server per month is ideal."

If you're plan to stay in this business I suggest that take responsibility for your shorcommings don't throw the blame around....
