Hello I’m Leo. A personal vps user.
I would be absolutely thrilled to utilize it! I would want to run on it: to run minor, automated tasks or scripts that assist in my operational efficiency or data processing.
Examples Simple Cron Jobs For scheduled data fetches or cleanups. And maybe to securely store and synchronize configuration files, scripts, and any critical data necessary for my operations, ensuring redundancy and accessibility. I might use something like Nextcloud for a more comprehensive personal cloud solution, or simply use rsync over SSH for secure file transfers and backups.

    Best wish!

Hi @barbaros! Your request made me laugh! You provided very specific details about what you want to run on your VPS! But your VPS would be the same whether it is assigned to you, or not, right? If you decide upon something that you actually want to run, please apply again. Thanks!

  • Hello, my name is fubuki. I usually run ubuntu but debian should be fine. I would like to run docker on it and usually i also run nginx and i might use the server as a sandbox since i like to thinker with things. I will be also using the vps for wireguard (personal vpn) and cockpit (for checking on my vps remotely and other vps that i own) and neko (docker based virtual browser that uses WebRTC) that will be all (forgot to add that i will use hetrixtools to monitor the vps like i use it for all of my servers/vps). i also have 2 questions.

    1. Is the bandwidth unmerged at 100Mbps or is there a cap to each vm? (1TB, 4TB etc..)
    2. do you allow reinstalls like if my vps just doesn't work is there a way to reset the vps?

    Thank You!

The low 100 Mbps bandwidth is shared among all the VMs.

    1. do you allow reinstalls like if my vps just doesn't work is there a way to reset the vps?

There is a capability to reset. Resetting destroys everything which is on the VPS and puts the VPS back to new. So, please make your own backups off of the server. And ask me if you need a reset.

    Thank You!

    You are welcome!

    Dear Not_Oles,

I am applying for a VPS to host a small personal website that will monitor the operational status of my other VPS servers. This setup is strictly for personal use and does not involve any commercial activity or public access.

Earlier today, my current monitoring site experienced a crash, which has impacted my ability to keep track of my servers in real time. To prevent this from happening again and improve reliability, I am setting up a dedicated VPS to run lightweight monitoring tools such as Uptime Kuma or Netdata. These tools will help me ensure my other VPS instances are running smoothly.

Please let me know if any further information is needed.

At the same time, I’m also worried that you might consider my account too new.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best regards,
    Musk.

    Hi @Fubukibox!

Besides not turning the VPSes on, I failed to check the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file. This file on you VPS had PermitRootLogin prohibit-password.

What I did was install your ed25519 public key and leave root password login disabled.

Please try ssh root@your_assigned-ip with your ssh key that you sent me.

When you get in, you can reset the ssh configuration as you prefer.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Let me know, please if you need anything else. Best wishes!
