You know I just landed back home. Flew out from Buffalo, NY today. I was thinking about your team and prior chats while in town.
I founded ColoCrossing in 2006 and owned ColoCrossing until June 2018. At that time I also sold LowEndBox and LowEndTalk.
In January 2020 I bought LowEndBox and LowEndTalk back. I've owned it since then.
If you sold ColoCrossing and no longer own it, is there some agreement that they should have a provider tag here as long as you are an administrator? Or are you willing to turn an eye on this one purely out of nostalgia?
If his Linkedin is up to date then they are his employer.

The other side of this :
1. Most companies dont give the entire rundown when they are exploited.
2. I'm aware this website is a marketing tool for providers with Colocrossing historically being the primary beneficiary . That doesnt keep me from enjoying and benefiting from the exchange of information and sales.
3. Personally I wouldnt submit to pressure telling me who can advertise on my forum. We each can vote with our pocketbook, or our time on this forum. I'm gonna keep on keeping on

(emphasis mine)
As 'we' and 'our' clearly implies "I'm a part of it" the question arises why you didn't provide a clear, honest, and full statement re. CC's recent clusterfuck.
Frankly, I personally don't care whether you still are in CC's top management or not, nor am I a fan of the occasional hunting jbiloh quite a few here seem to like a lot; in fact, to the best of my knowledge Jon Biloh, the private person, bought, owns, and revived, probably even saved LET - and that deserves respect and some gratitude.
But I'm puzzled to see you yourself mixing up things, and - as the private person Jon Biloh - talking about CC in a way that strongly indicates that in fact you still are quite tightly related to CC.
So what's it then? Who is jbiloh, is he the private person Jon Biloh, or is he part of or tightly related to CC?
I don’t understand the point of this thread anymore. If they post an offer thread we can dunk on them like CharityHost, but if they don’t do anything (given their inactivity) does arguing over their tag accomplish anything other than virtue signaling?
The community is seeking clarity. Whether they accept or believe is another matter entirely.
This. The language used is confusing, lots of "we", and linkedin seems to indicate he still works for them. His LET profile says he doesn't work for a host, and he's pretty much the only one i see defending the way colocrossing handled this breach. If you're the admin, and you work for colocrossing (or it's parent company), and are therefore biased and going to give them a pass, just be up front about it imo... would respect that more than the vague/confusing language and half answers.
His account (from 2013) pre-dates when that question was added. It's obviously not a default Vanilla question and was added as a custom field at some point. It defaults to "no" and his account was never updated, probably because he is not a host rep, doesn't have a provider tag, etc.
When was that question added to registration?
Vanilla doesn't record when that custom field was added in the database, and table that holds that info doesn't have a "last modified" or anything column, so database forensics are useless.
The question itself is stored in Vanilla's config.php. There are some old config.php files in backups:
Considering that the April one is in config.bak-date-string file name format, I'm guessing that the change was made then and the person making the change saved the old file as a precaution before implementing the change.
Completely possible I'm wrong on this, but that's what I see.
We have already received clear and transparent answers. Why are we still asking the same question over? Please read thread history.
Net net. Yes relationship exists. Yes they are real people. Yes they respect our freedom of speech rights on the forum. I do not see CC or their brands aggressively abusing any power or authority. I see the opposite so I do not mind the relationship. Maybe we say "thank you for hosting this awesome community" and that is it. I hope CC stays this neutral when we share our opinions and experiences. It has served them well and will continue to.

@angstrom could you please add https://haveibeenpwned.com/Breach/ColoCrossing to the op?
i think this one is worth to mention as the breach is verified by outside party
Are "Virtualizor bug" and "Virtualizor misconfiguration" synonyms? 🤔
I guess it depends on who you ask.
