I work for a large corporation that has a bunch of companies that 'They dont own' . They surely control them.
this reply was classic
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it is probably a middle management duck.
I was gonna ask for any examples of the "responsible and transparent" but I genuinely don't want to pick on @jbiloh so.
Someone else can do it though.
responsible and transparent: "Bad news folks. Hacker accessed all our data. You're screwed. Thank you for being a loyal customer. By the way our bank account information has changed for your next invoice."
I clicked no.
You can send me my $3/yr VPS now.
People should vote with their wallets
$10
If we shill hard enough, they might reduce it to $3
😉
My server specialist said this thing only worth $2.
so its blamed on @virtualizor
from now on will be avoiding any provider that uses it.
even Virmach uses solusvm.
lol
Guys please stop, @jbiloh is running out of ways to say the same things all over again in every topic. He must be bored at this point ^.-
It isnt, it is 100% on colocrossing, most likely a human fault
which is okay, shit happens, if you acknowledge it and explain how it wont happen again, which they refuse to do
@jbiloh , given that the said Virtualizor bug was patched, do you know when Virtualizor will be available again for VPSes at CC?
I suspect that I'm not the only user here with a VPS at CC that hasn't been able to use Virtualizor (or VNC) for the past month, which makes the VPS significantly less useful
I would have asked @ColoCrossing , but their last post here was on May 23rd, which was shortly before the incident, so they're effectively MIA
Such voting does not show any democracy. It only shows a reaction to something, like this is shown for movie reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.com. Sometimes movies get low ratings, but this doesn't mean the movie team should be removed from the industry. A civilized society should establish some responsibility for private data leaks. In some countries, there are already laws to address this issue.
Respectfully, that's simply not true. They never sent me any sort of notification, and I can't see any official notification or statement anywhere on their own site - the only way I know this event even took place is this thread, and the spam the nice hacker sent me to the unique, hacked email address.
Communication has been literally zero. Quit trying to gaslight us.
Many thanks to all the people who voted. At least we expressed our opinion. What staff decides now, it is up to them.
^ like.
This is not up for debate.
Colocrossing own this forum.
CC employed directors have told me this themselves and provided proof to me in 2014 and 2015 before giving me a deal and deadpooling shortly after.
Honestly. They’re not the best host in my book but they’ve been fair. They don’t retaliate against those who speak out against them on the forum. That part I have to respect.
Other forums owned by host do instant ban to prevent bad PR.
What exactly isn't up for debate?
To avoid sounding like a broken wheel. Can you clarify?

Why do you think this? (If this is what you meant isn't up for debate)
I explain it in my post. My interactions with their directors first hand.
I even considered a trip to say Hi when I was in NY for work back then but I decided against it since I was staying in NYC.
This is back when they had a real support team. Unless they did a good job lying to us..

Even if it's true that CC owned LET back in 2014 and 2015, isn't it possible that this is no longer the case in 2024 and 2025?
In 2014, ColoCrossing operated a beautiful office in the Buffalo suburbs. The following year, we moved into a much larger space in downtown Buffalo, in the same building as our primary datacenter.
Fast forward 10 years, and ColoCrossing still maintains that same large downtown office, staffed 24/7. You’ll find plenty of photos of our team and workspace on our website and social media.
That’s why I found your comment about a "real support team" a bit puzzling.
"Username: jbiloh
Do you own, operate, or work for a hosting provider? No"
so... which is it?
Oh I left out an important fact.
All my interactions for sales were through HVH even though I connected with folks at CC. They told me it’s the same company. Same with chicagoVPS. Also told me back then it’s the same support team.
Also @jbiloh is talking like he works for CC and someone said he owns the forum in this same thread. I think everyone is reading this right?
So back to what I said before. I don’t hear the forum changed ownership and I think CC is respectful of free speech. That’s it.
Note - never had issues with ColoCrossing. Just HudsonValleyHost which they also own.
I voted no, like no port 25 but other than that everything’s been fine and non-refundable.
