I think people know that we are trustworthy and not scammers, they just need to read the last post to understand the situation.

@DeluxHost Please as soon as possible, check my private message I left you here on LET. Thanks.
Total downtime was around 30 minutes for me and it appears it was only network issue.
Very and swift, transparent and professional handling of the incident.
Thank you @DeluxHost .
I will check as soon as possible, thanks for your patience
Thanks for understanding ♥️
IPV6 ?
It is included in all our servers
a subnet /64 ...
Yes, Isn't that enough?
Any advice is welcome
Initially RFC 3177 established how would be recommended to get /48 for general usage.
This was later revised by RFC 6177 which established that /48 is a bit wasteful, so /56 is recommended for end sites, or a minimum of /64.
You are the provider, so in the end the decision belongs to you, especially considering what you can offer or what at cost. You can also enforce a specific /128 (end device) from a dedicated /64 of each customer - to prevent potential abuses.
Thank you for the clarification!
For most of our customers’ typical use cases, a /64 is more than enough to ensure full compatibility and functionality.
Of course, if anyone has specific needs (such as multiple subnets or advanced scenarios), we’re happy to consider larger allocations (/56 or /48) upon request.
Our goal is to strike the right balance between flexibility for our customers and responsible use of IPv6 resources.
Where is this detailed report so I may also experience this transparent and professional handling of the incident? Thanks!
It will be posted within 24 hours (we are waiting for the official report from our DC, as the problem was caused by them)
Unfortunately in these cases we have no power to do something, but we are pushing so that situations like these do not happen again, since we also pay enough to not have problems 😅
Oh no worries man, I was poking fun at @oloke for praising transparency when we literally haven't been told anything yet. Maybe he was being funny too!
How would that make sense? And what kind of abuse would that prevent?
I wasn't trying to be funny here.
During the outage I was observing their status page for this incident and that was enough transparency for me. Better than some hosts here trying to hide smaller outages or not report them at all.
In my comment, I didn't praise them for publishing the report.
I trust that @DeluxHost will provide the report as they stated.
I agree I could've worded this a bit better.
In my opinion the handling of the situation so far has been quite professional especially considering I pay 15 eur/year for my VPS. Deluxhost has acknowledged the downtime here and updated their status page in real time. Maybe my expectations are a bit too low
I'm also happy with how transparent @DeluxHost has been regarding the incident. Even though I'm not using my Z-4 VPS much due to the rather weak CPU. I'll probably look to purchase the new Ryzen offers in the near future.
Fair enough!
@DeluxHost , the provider, was professional, and gave you avenues to resolve the issue. And even suggested workaround. You could have followed the lead, and you would have learnt something new.
@DeluxHost trying to charge extra money from my card today. Its normal guys?

Contact their billing department. A proper drama needs substance. We can't have a proper drama without tickets first.
