Is it day 15 already?
You are still waiting?
No, it just means they paid $200 per year to be allowed to sell products on this website. Unless everyone decides to move to LowEndSpirit or an alternative platform and cause traffic to LET to drop, they will continue ignoring the issue due to the influence while having double standards for everyone else.
Stop waiting. The end is delayed. This one benefits of divine protection.
In other news and also to keep this thread bumped, Mailchimp were not impressed by the OpenAI spam ("Linux.do Team") that everyone in the breach was signed up for, with no unsubscribe link. Worth reporting if you want to see OpenAI and the leaked db abuser landed in hot water
What can the mods actually do? @jbiloh will just remove their permissions like he has done before. Why do you think they haven't tagged the provider or pushed them for responses, but do in other threads?
ColoCrossing identify this forum as one of their assets.
One question for membership?
For those who have a few days to renew and don't renew because they don't agree with the policy, will their provider status be removed? Question:
Whoever offers this type of service that their customers get upset about, do we just ignore it?
From what I understand, we should show indifference to any provider, but there are preferences, and sometimes what I think most deadpool providers offer at $7 a year is due to these types of policies that force a provider to offer stupid plans that aren't profitable, and in the end, after a few months, they sell or close the business, but they already have all the funds in their bank accounts. The measure should be the same for everyone. We often criticize old forums like WHT, but they don't allow any nonsense. It's a shame they only see the money, despite the quality.
I'm sure if I were a Deadpool provider, I'd pay $100 for my membership for six months, set up two nodes, and throw in annual plans at $7. If things go badly that year, I'd close down and nothing would happen. I'd come back with another name. It's an unmeasured/unfair business....
I hope the admins change their way of thinking...
It already happened with Quadranet, which was too big!

WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY AND EXPLAIN IS:
THE HACK SITUATION IS SOMETHING NO SUPPLIER EXPECTS. IT'S IN THE SUPPLIER'S INTEREST TO NOT PUBLISH IN A COMMUNITY WHERE YOU PUBLISH YOUR OFFERS, NOT COMMENT ON ANYTHING, AND YOUR ADVERTISING WILL CONTINUE TO APPEAR. LET YOUR FAVORITE SUPPLIER DO ANYTHING, OR HAVE ANYTHING DONE TO YOU!!!**
Read thru all the CAPS, still not get it.
i need ai summary thank you
IA:
A Question Regarding Membership Policy
I’d like to raise a question about the current membership policy.
If a provider chooses not to renew their membership—despite being only days away from expiration—because they disagree with certain policies, will their provider status be revoked?
Furthermore, how should we handle situations where a provider implements policies that upset their customers? Are we simply expected to ignore it?
From my perspective, it seems that there's an inconsistency in how providers are treated. While the general stance is to remain impartial toward any provider, favoritism clearly exists. In many cases, the reason some so-called “Deadpool” providers offer $7/year plans is directly tied to policies that push providers toward unsustainable business models. These low-cost plans may appear attractive, but they're often unprofitable, leading providers to shut down within a few months—taking the funds with them.
There should be a consistent standard for everyone. We often criticize legacy forums like WHT, yet at least they maintain a baseline of professionalism and do not tolerate unserious practices. Unfortunately, it feels like this platform prioritizes revenue over quality.
Hypothetically, if I were a Deadpool provider, I could pay $100 for a six-month membership, launch a couple of nodes, offer annual plans at $7, and if things go south, just shut down and disappear—only to return later under a new name. This creates an unbalanced and unfair market environment.
I sincerely hope the administration reevaluates its approach.
Let’s not forget what happened with Quadranet—it was too big to fail, yet it still faced major issues.
What I’m Trying to Emphasize:
The hacking incident is something no provider can truly anticipate. But it’s concerning when a supplier can continue advertising in a community while refusing to engage or comment on such incidents. Are we really okay with letting preferred providers do whatever they want—even if it harms the community?
Bro that's longer

Don’t worry, they stored passwords using unbreakable MD5 🤡
And yet passwords were broken.
Why not read the rules before wasting mod's time?
In all fairness, one can set up a summer host easily at $30/quarter. Grab some 9950X CPUs, offer 6 vCPU 12 GB RAM for $10/mo (bonus points if you lie and say it’s a VDS and CPU throttle), close business down, and your 9950X hardware is still good to run things for the next several years.
Might be day 20 now.
No ban was issued. Provider tag still stands, even though ColoCrossing had an awful breach backed by a lie about some Virtualizor bug which was not validated publicly. Is it safe to say LET staff as a whole endorses and recommends such provider?
Didn’t one of them work or is affiliated with them?
$200
It should come with ban proof tag.
LET users, don't waste your time asking for something that will never happen. This topic is trash for LET administrators.
The world runs on money. I saw the other topic about LET being hosted on DigitalOcean. If they don't have trust, they allow these types of incidents without doing anything to their top provider, which has over 95% of the advertising. Do they think they're going to harm the big players?
They only go after small businesses and deadpool companies that can afford to do so due to their low-cost system.
Large companies that pay can afford to fail their customers and carry on as if nothing happened. Let's wait for the summer/winter sales and Top1!
It's the same thing that happens in the USA: its people demand, make demands, and what happens? Nothing with the great power wielded by the companies/president.
ALL IS POWER!!!
You yap too much. Should just focus on your own business.
Do you think our comment is wrong? Telling others not to worry about this issue, because it won't happen?
Didn't say it was wrong. Nobody is saying don't worry. Nobody gets your wall of text so whenever you post something, it's annoying
Oh, sorry if it's annoying, don't worry, it won't happen again. I've been away these days. Maybe doing the right thing isn't good.
Thanks for your suggestion.
"Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject." [Philosopher John Stuart Mill at the inaugural address for St. Andrews University]
@nohavps are you still planning to not renew your provider tag on LET?
He's not wrong, leave him alone. It's just even more basic in this case since LET and CC share one penis.
edit: no offense dont ban me just couldnt resist
