@hyun said: According to disclosed data, ColoCrossing operates only 13,379 VPS units. Is their VPS business not as large as expected? At the standard $15/year pricing, this translates to merely $200,000 in annual revenue - a scale that appears disproportionate to ColoCrossing's standing as a professional IDC service provider.

Looking at their rather ironically named Memorial Day Sale, there's two products: their normal VPS, and the Cloud Metal (dedicated cores) lineup.

I have no inside info, I would deduce that their monthly price per VM is quite a bit higher than $1.25.

It's always been my impression that their VPS business is a small compared to their dedi/colo business.

I knew I saw you in a store the other day. You were quite popular and everybody wanted to greet you, so I stayed aside since I'm a bit shy. Cheers!

I looked it up earlier when I saw it mentioned and it looks like they started using it here in their most recent offer thread, but there's a thread from 11/2023 with an error msg showing /home/colocloud.

And of course it's all over this thread (lol~).

My two VMs are finally back up, found this in my home folder with all my data gone on one of my VMs. Thankfully backed everything important up, other server is a VPS hosting my wedding site, looks to be untouched but will reimage both when/if the chance presents itself.

  • How do people who don't come here know why their VPS is down? As far as I know no network issues from their status page and no emails about an outage or issue on their end.

They will never know why if they're not digging in what the hell happening behind doors, according to mr. shit-human-being hacker, they (CC) have just pretending everything at this moment.

I found the 'mpool' and 'snap' directories in my home folder, honestly don't know enough to get rid of it so I just shut the VM off until panel is back up to reinstall OS

Interesting, now you can't order anything anymore.
But only after shit went bust again.

I do wonder at this point if its really a Virtualizor issue.
Or rather a specific ColoCleansing issue

If it's Virtualizor, we will know because there are other providers here using them as well, and they will probably initiate contact with Virtualizor regarding the 'bug'. But if it's not Virtualizor, then you know who :)

My server is also back online. If they’re indeed ignoring abuse complaints, it’s the best bulletproof server you can get for $10.

I apparently had a Colo crossing vps from last black Friday which i'd never logged into.

I've been trying today, it's been offline until a little while ago, but it shows recent activity, as recent as June 15 from IP 111.125.231.5 doing stuff in grub, weird.

Did CC regain control, or was it the hackers just bluffing about deleting VMs and not having backups ?

My VM also went down, and when it came back online, the data was intact. So if the VMs were deleted and there were no backups, how is this possible ?
