I live in Europe and have a CraneMail Starter 100G US, now I wanna change it to EU lifetime deal... sad it can't be migrated or upgraded
It will be good if there's something like 10$ off to upgrade to lifetime.
Are there any differences between the U.S. and European plans? If I purchased the U.S. plan, would you recommend switching?
switching not possible.
You can migrate it yourself
We've spun up a non TLS/SSL FTP on port
8231on us1 for those that want to test. While we really don't like the idea of non SSL for this, some people require it for their applications ("ALIST").
Let us know
Francisco
Yeah but that means the starter I brought will be wasted
@Francisco
If I buy CraneMail Lifetime Deals EU region, will it still use Webhosting Holdings LLC or will it still use NameCrane LLC that will appear? I want to hide it not from namecrane
EU shows under WHH.
Francisco
Great work! Alist is working fine now!
This is weird. Just purchased the Starter 100G package but it got flagged as fraud!
What kind of nonsense is this?
Invoice # 27236
Order no #5900818672
Ticket #CRANE-11925
glws bought an US package 2 weeks ago
It's just common WHMCS & fraud check thingy nothing special man. First time buying something via WHMCS ?
A ticket submitted will help, ping him if it's take much time. Since most self-operated providers here are one man army or just a small team of few people, and they're human being like you.
Last night I finally had time to set up my emails after purchasing a lifetime service a few months ago and I found it pretty easy to set up even tho I'm not a techy person.
This was mean for testing purpose, but for me email delivery is fast, maybe in avg of 5 seconds delivery? from US server to APAC, or atleast to my gmail inbox (i don't know where the google mail server is).
DNS settings was easy to apply to CF dashboard, but maybe it would be pita if I set it up for all my +20 domains. Need export-import feature as previously suggested by others here.
best buy for me
Let’s see what I can do for the DNS export

"A ticket submitted will help" - Incase you didn't notice I attached ticket number ( including others for their convenience.). Also, fraud is being detected by FraudLabs or something 🤔 why though? Using my own card and provided all the required info.
Also, the replies on the support aren't very helpful. The guy straight up says to pay via AliPay. TF. My card works though. The 20$ gets deducted but FraudLabs flags my order as fraud and reverses the amount. 🙂
Though somehow I managed to convince the guy to mark my order as pending so that it doesn't get canceled automatically. And the 20$ charge it go through but now I don't have any updates from their side.
*did
It’s Sunday so Karen isn’t on past the morning.
I’ll check your ticket in a few, just working on getting offload sql deployed in Singapore.

On that note... I know this will sound pedantic... But if a customer orders a life time for EU... Is all data in the EU or will there be some stuff in the US?
Backups would be encrypted on disk & in transit sending to the US.
I'm thinking we might send them to CH instead once that's ready, or maybe just find another place to drop the backups in EU.

Payday needs to come faster...
I want to determine how to ensure the IP reputation of the sending message and how many IP groups are in the backend, because IP reputation has always been a difficult point in sending messages.
Alright. I'll wait.
Can DM you the range if you want. We're mailing from ~ a /28 of IPs within a /24 dedicated to mail (just due to current volume level, can't justify spreading it much more than that).
We've definitely had delivery issues - particularly early on, but pretty smooth sailing the last ~3 months since we made some changes.
Our outbound relays filter for spam and catch a lot of junk, although we still get stuff slipping through that we monitor for and then train the relays against it when we find it.
@NameCrane does DKIM for alias domain follow the parent domain?
@Francisco
Is there a plan to open an email service SGP data center?
Yes, same key - you'll install it in DNS on the alias using the same selector/etc. It'll update the domain pointer on outbound.
BUT: Make sure under your General settings -> Email Signing that it says your key is just "ACTIVE" not "Active (Skipped DNS Verification)". If it's the latter then it doesn't seem to sign aliases correctly.
So easy fix if it says "skipped dns" is just disable, then re-enable DKIM - on re-enable it'll do the DNS check and should make it 'Active'.
No, not at this time - and it's very unlikely due to colocation costs.
kinda crazy how easy it was to migrate from US to EU. all in all took me 10 minutes
can i migrate my plan from US to EU?
Any fastmail users switching to cranemail? could you give me a very good reason why should I switch too? regardless the pricing.
