Thank you for the great service. I have had my server for a little over a month now and very happy. Yes the servers are a bit old and I have learned the IPMI can be a little difficult, but your staff is patient with helping me. My thanks.
I have made the payment. When can the server be activated
Thank you for your order! I was just reviewing your account status and it appears that your server was setup and login detail sent approximately 5 hours after you made this post.
We guarantee server setups within 24 hours, but fortunately in this case the server was delivered much faster than that.
Please let me know if you require any assistance with your new server! Thanks again for choosing Reprise and have a great weekend!
That's wonderful -- I'm glad to hear you've been happy with your server and service! If you need anything else, please be sure to let us know!

Only Seattle or any other locations?
Thank you for your interest! Only Seattle at the moment.
just curious, when do you think you're going to decomm all the nehelem stuff? the power cost to keep those things running must be obscene.
I'm glad you asked! :-) You might assume that the L5640 is a power hog because its Nehalem-based, but the chip itself actually has a modest 60W TDP, and in practice the full system sips power even under load.
Architecturally, Westmere-EP is the 32nm die shrink of Nehalem. By moving from 45nm to 32nm, adding finer-grained power-gating and smarter voltage/frequency scaling, Intel added more cores and cache without raising the thermal envelope -- they boosted performance-per-watt significantly. Those power-centric enhancements are precisely why the L5640 remains one of the more efficient low-end server CPUs around. It's literally in the name -- Westmere-EP "efficient performance".
It also helps that we're located in Washington State with an abundance of low-cost hydroelectric power. Seattle electricity rates run 20–25% below the national average -- and when you compare Seattle to other major US metros -- I think it might be the cheapest in the whole nation.
One day these Nehalems will be decommissioned, but as long as we're regularly sold out of them then we're in no rush to do so!
Super interesting! Thanks so much for the added details
No problem! And another thing that a lot of folks don't consider is that with L5640 systems you get the choice of running either one or two CPUs. For multi-threaded workloads, a dual L5640 system stacks up very nicely against Xeon and Ryzen CPUs that arrived several years later:
Dual Intel Xeon L5640: 8633 multi-thread rating ( https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+L5640+@+2.27GHz&id=1263&cpuCount=2 )
Intel Xeon E3-1230 v6: 8138 multi-thread rating ( https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+E3-1230+v6+@+3.50GHz&id=3032 )
AMD Ryzen 5 2400G: 8738 multi-thread rating ( https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+5+2400G&id=3183 )
AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3400GE: 7873 multi-thread rating ( https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+5+PRO+3400GE&id=3565 )
Great! Ticket #650372
Hmm, I am not seeing that ticket number in our system. Did you typo the ticket number or would you like me to DM me the email address you used to open the ticket?
I apologize, there is a typo in the ticket number - ticket #650472
Ahh there it is! It looks like your ticket has already received a response but if I can answer any other questions please be sure to let me know!
Thanks, I just ordered the new server - Order #9836741 . Can you please make sure that I receive all the free upgrades for my server?
Thank you for your order! It looks like your server setup was completed and login details sent to your email address. Feel free to reach out if you require any assistance with the new server.
Inventory update!
2x RepriseZZDED
2x RepriseGGDED
Two servers remaining!
1x RepriseZZDED
1x RepriseGGDED
Picked up a RepriseZZDED. Originally ordered a RepriseZDED but by the time I placed my order it had sold out. They gave me the option to upgrade which I appreciate.
Everything has been nice so far, though the speedtest speeds seem to be more around 500Mbps.
I really curious why Reprise Hosting did not upgrade hardware, it has been years already.
It's a pity. If the bandwidth could be up to 40TB, I would buy one without hesitation.
We have a new special scheduled for next week with free upgrades to 50TB bandwidth on all servers. Please feel free to place an order and reference this LowEndTalk post in the comments section of the order checkout and we'll give you a free early upgrade to 50TB bandwidth!
Great! I'll keep an eye out.
Could you turn one on for me first? Because my colocrossing server is about to expire, which happens to be next week, I want to leave some time to migrate all the business to your side.> @BrianHarrison said:

Sure that'd be no problem at all. If you want to place your order now, just reference this comment during the order checkout process and we will activate the free upgrade to 50TB bandwidth.
I have made the payment. My invoice number is Invoice #63107. Could you please upgrade my bandwidth to 50TB? Thank you!
