In one of the forums, ClawCloud has been marked as a "low-reputation" merchant.

If MJJ hates CLAW so much, why don't they just stop renewing? (More than 91% are monthly subscribers).
Why do they have to renew month after month.
If you hate claw, you should stay away.
I don't want to cover all Chinese people, but MJJ is mean and annoying.
These guys use scripts to grab hosts, test network speeds, and attack other users.
There will be no peace with MJJ.
Without MJJ, most people (except themselves) will be happy.
large-scale misuse?
I am an abusive user 😭😭😭
I shouldn't have dared to use the 1Gbps bandwidth I paid for!
Apparently my crime was believing "1Gbps" actually meant I could use 1Gbps. Thanks for teaching me that paying ≠ using rights.
Free upgrade to the 50Mbps throttled plan, so grateful! 🙏
The remaining 9% pay quarterly or annually.
At a minimum, monthly payments are required, which means that 91% of users choose the shortest payment cycle. In other words, they can cancel with relatively little cost.
Nice side account Claw. Logs back in after 5 months just to defend a random company

When you’ve been deceived, you should speak up about it instead of staying silent. Such shameful behavior should be exposed to the public to prevent more people from being tricked.
Am I right?

thx

So why not just penalize abusive users, but indiscriminately limit the servers of the optimization series? If you have explicitly limited the bandwidth of the series of servers, please re-mark the bandwidth rate of 1Mbps instead of 1Gbps on the server console page and server configuration page, after all, the series of servers cannot reach this rate, it is best to indicate in the terms of service. A supplier like you who says one thing and does another thing, I hope you can go to school again to learn what "credibility" is. Please don't cheat again, clown. Joker 🤡

It is God, it can do anything to your service! And you can't do anything about it!
Regarding the problem that server manufacturers advertise 1Gbps bandwidth but all users are limited due to abuse, we can analyze it rationally from the following perspectives:
The inevitability of bandwidth sharing
Most low-priced servers adopt the "shared bandwidth" mode, which is essentially a physical link resource shared by multiple people. The promise of 1Gbps is usually a "peak theoretical value" rather than an exclusive guarantee. This is similar to the logic of "100M bandwidth but actual rate fluctuations" for home broadband.
Destructiveness of abuse
P2P downloads, large traffic attacks, mining and other behaviors will instantly exhaust bandwidth and cause network congestion. If the manufacturer lacks real-time traffic shaping capabilities, it can only passively use global speed limits as an "emergency brake", similar to the temporary closure of lanes on a highway due to a car accident.
The manufacturer's vague rhetoric
If the publicity of "supporting 1Gbps" does not clearly mark "sharing", "burst peak" and "fair use policy (FUP)", it may constitute misleading marketing. Users often mistakenly believe that they are buying "exclusive bandwidth" and actually get "competitive resource pools".
Controversy over the rationality of speed limits
The overall speed limit is the lowest-cost management method, but it sacrifices the rights and interests of normal users. The ideal approach should be to identify abusers through traffic monitoring (such as setting 95th percentile billing and dynamic QoS policies), but this requires higher technical investment, which small manufacturers are often unable to afford.
The responsibility of abusers
Some users use low-cost services to run overloaded businesses such as commercial CDNs and pirated resource sites, which essentially transfers costs to other users. This behavior is similar to the "tragedy of the commons", where maximizing individual interests leads to the depletion of collective resources.
The dilemma of ordinary users
Compliant users are forced to endure service degradation due to the behavior of a few people, reflecting the phenomenon of "bad money driving out good money" in the market. When choosing a service, you should pay attention to whether the manufacturer provides SLA (service level agreement) and abuse control measures.
Layered service design
Manufacturers can provide different product lines:
Economic type (shared bandwidth + strict FUP)
Commercial type (guaranteed bandwidth + overage billing)
Customized type (exclusive physical port)
Clearly marked prices can reduce disputes.
Intelligent traffic management
Identify P2P/video streaming and other protocols through DPI (deep packet inspection), and dynamically allocate bandwidth based on time weight. Cloud computing vendors have generally adopted such technology, and traditional IDCs need to accelerate technology upgrades.
Contract transparency
Clearly mark the "fair use clause" in the purchase contract, for example:
"Bandwidth usage exceeding 500Mbps for 5 consecutive minutes will trigger speed limit to 100Mbps, and will be restored after 1 hour"
Informing the rules in advance can reduce the gap in user expectations.
Service selection stage
Give priority to vendors that provide "bandwidth guarantee" clauses
Check historical monitoring data (such as Looking Glass test nodes)
Avoid choosing services that are significantly lower than the market price (low prices are often accompanied by overselling)
Usage stage
Regularly test the actual bandwidth through iperf3
Retain work order records for abnormal speed reduction as a basis for rights protection
Consider multi-vendor distributed deployment to disperse risks
Conclusion
The essence of this phenomenon is a typical contradiction in the sharing economy model. Vendors need to find a balance between marketing integrity and technical investment, and users should establish a comprehensive evaluation system of "price-performance-risk". In the long run, with the popularization of SDN (software-defined network) technology, the improvement of dynamic bandwidth scheduling capabilities will gradually alleviate such problems, but the complete elimination of resource competition still requires the innovation of the underlying network architecture.
bullshit
I will cancel the renewal
Clawcloud's speed limit policy cannot be described as fair at all. Even though its original intention (possibly) was to limit its use as a proxy, I built the website using its nominal "VDS" and only transmitted backup documents of the website to other servers once a day (approximately 0.5 GB, with the entire server including the website and monthly data consumption not exceeding 200 GB). My server is still limited to 50 Mbps and has been continuously restricted for over a month.
Although, compared to innocent users who are limited to 1 Mbps, my server is lucky; However, this still cannot conceal that Clawcloud is an dishonest merchant. The annotation page states 1 Gbps and also limits the total amount of traffic, but it has been proven that the bandwidth and traffic annotated are "for reference only" and "can only be viewed, not used".
I think if it needs to limit abuse, it should provide a reasonable and transparent scope. For example, only 50GB of high-speed data is allowed per day (which does not block the host for a long time), or users with downstream data exceeding 2-5TB (taking a 1TB upstream data package as an example) are restricted (because they do not restrict downstream data, but only upstream data). The current restriction strategy is completely unacceptable.
Users purchase Clawcloud servers only because they rely on Alibaba Cloud's cloud infrastructure, which is widely trusted and has good stability. It provides Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure at a lower price than Alibaba Cloud, which highlights its outstanding cost-effectiveness; However, as a startup company, no one can trust its stability. No small or medium-sized enterprise is willing to deploy important services on it, and only so-called "MJJ" or individual enthusiasts are willing to try its services. Therefore, if it cannot provide the services it claims, why don't people buy Alibaba Cloud's official Lighthouse server? Alibaba Cloud is at least a reliable and stable cloud service provider, and there is no need to worry about any risk of data loss or sudden bankruptcy of Alibaba Cloud. You also do not have to endure the poor service of Clawcloud, which is like a black box with irrational restriction strategies.
Although relocating website services is a troublesome task, I cannot tolerate Clawcloud's services. Therefore, I have decided to migrate the website to Alibaba Cloud after the six-month payment for the server expires.
It seems ClawCloud's speed throttling is a global policy.
I tested a non-China-optimized VPS I own, and the first SpeedTest run delivered advertised speeds, but the second was immediately capped at 200Mbps.
This has no direct connection to their 'China optimization abuse' explanation, as my VPS isn't China-optimized.
It honestly just feels like an excuse

To ensure your data security, I recommend moving promptly, as this untrustworthy merchant might flee.
agree
Sell Vps for Gbps network ports Product, then speed it at 1Mbps, this kind of behavior is no different from fraud.

Scammer, I have been using it normally, where is the promised Gigabit bandwidth?
I only used 160G out of 1000G
Where do you get this stats: "More than 91% are monthly subscribers"?
I get the source of that number from last page yet it can't be trusted giving the dishonesty of this company.
shameless
If you have speed limit rules, you should clearly inform the user rather than conducting speed limits on a large scale. If it is abused, there will be no large number of users posting on the forum.
How is the reputation? No need to say much, with testimonials from tens of thousands of people. Look at the pictures yourself.
