Hang out for a year or two and you’ll have a few you trust. Deadpool breakups inevitable. It’s life.
if i can trust a provider i'd pay up to like 3 years if its a long-term project. otherwise i like hourly shit that bills monthly via bulk invoice
there is no point!
you never know when a provider decide to screw you and your data
By paying 1 year upfront, I have the guarantee I’ll idle peacefully without missing renewal date
But I do that only with reputable providers: bero-host, greencloud, hosthatch…
Or the amount has to be very low.
With hosthatch I’m okay to commit for multiple years.
I prefer paying annually.
One of the reasons I don't use netcup RS regularly, even though it's good, is because the monthly bill is very annoying.
The alternative to the annual payment is to add money to the account. This is also a good option that saves you from monthly billing. This feature is also not available in netcup.
Paying one year upfront is really risky, specially with small or new hosting companies. The term life-time payment thing mostly feel like a joke or scam to me. I think life-time means their company’s life, not the customer’s. Liike OVHCloud, Interserver my curent host don’t accept yearly payment for VPS or dedicated servers, even if customer ask for it. Seems they only allow yearly on shared hosting with some discounts
Honestly, I prefer monthly payment, it's just simple. If something go wrong or I wanna cancel, it’s easier. Less headache.
