this has top be the best news of all time, now I can add it to my list of mounts on MountainDuck :)

:) We had a user in the beta that was using that exact client and seems quite happy once we fixed a few things.

Our golang dev is brilliant and likely a bit crazy to build this out.

    Francisco

I guess that user was me. :D
Congratulations on getting out of beta!

I don't even need an EU lifetime plan (after purchasing a 500Gb US one), but also considering EU lifetime just to support them and provide a backup store of mail should I need it.

From memory, outgoing SMTP may be shared between EU and US services so not completely separate but still better than nothing :)

Already have a US lifetime that I'm not really using, but bought a EU lifetime anyway just to support more EU based offers.

Despite several frustrating (to say the least) unsuccessful attempts to get US lifetime plan, was flagged as fraud every time with or without VPN (you talkin to me?), before finally managing to buy US plan with crypto (Crypto virgin, so 1st time was painful), I also just bought the EU plan to support cranemail and EU offers even if i have no need for it now at the moment.

Is it intentional that both US and EU lifetime are $75 now? I thought EU was going to be a bit more than US ongoing.

Anyway grats on the launch. Given I have US already with 1TB I won’t grab a EU one, but great you’ve been able to deliver it for the seemingly large number of people after EU mail hosting.

Yeah, so the lifetimes will go up in price a bit to keep things in balance. We let the original offer price run longer than we planned due to delays getting EU up - but always stated it would cost a little bit more with the new location launch.

I've signed up today for an EU account, am I right to assume that the 'SpamExperts' MXrecords should not be used, as that would negate the purpose of having an EU account?

    Hello,

SE will pass the emails through to the EU box all encrypted if that's the concern.

We'll be moving MX2 to EU in the next couple weeks, I just have to coordinate with them, and then we'll make an MX pool for each region (even though it'll only be a single IP, but maybe we just throw 2 IP's on each of the current MX's).

I'm just curious about using rclone mount with namecrane under windows. Does anyone have an example of syntax we need to use with cranemail? I basically want to use the folder like onedrive

You could try mapping the FTPS as a network drive on Windows, I think that might work? Port 8221.

If not, you'd probably do like rclone remote, define the namecrane one, then rclone mount.

I should add. you might have to do %40 in place of the @.

I know when mapping the FTP on MacOS it was required.

I've been trying on and off all day today, but cannot access the file storage, either on my desktop computer or my phone. Tried WebDAV (via both Nemo & RClone) and FTPS (via Filezilla using the recommended port number) and just getting constant errors. Hopefully someone that HAS succeeded will publish a 'dummies' guide here. I'm not desperate to use the file storage as I already have other providers I'm quite happy with, it's just a problem that I would like to know how to solve.

WEBDAV doesn't work for files. The devs haven't added it.

What issue are you having on FTP? Have you tried using the us1/eu1 hostname?

Filezilla works well, its my primary testing client.

Mike just brought up a good point. Are you using 2FA? That'll not work here since there's no easy way to pass a 2FA code to SM. We've asked them to expand on the API so we can validate app keys but nothing yet.

What some users do is make a 'cloud' user that doesn't have 2FA and then dump files on there, and then they can keep their email account locked down.

    @Francisco,

Would it be possible to increase the 250GB lifetime plan to support 25 domains instead of 15? I noticed the other lifetime plans scale with both storage and domain support. For example, the 500GB plan allows 50 domains, and the 1000GB plan allows 100. Even the 100GB starter plan supports 15 domains, which is the same as the 250GB plan.
