A warning to the LET community regarding ServerPoint's long-term contract reliability and executive management practices.
While ServerPoint is using this thread to market production-quality service and stability to new customers, potential buyers should be fully aware of how management handles established long-term infrastructure contracts when a billing dispute arises.
I maintained a permanent, upfront-paid "lifetime" web hosting agreement with ServerPoint (A+ Hosting, Inc.) established in January 2002, which carried a structural annual maintenance fee. In February 2026, the company successfully processed this annual fee, legally securing my hosting access through February 2027.
In May 2026, I logged into their support portal and noticed a maintenance rate increase of 100%. While frontline tech support explicitly confirmed in writing that my grandfathered rate was correct and valid, the CEO personally intervened in the ticket. In direct retaliation for exercising my right to question an unauthorized fee, the CEO explicitly stated in writing that he was refusing service, executed an unauthorized refund of the maintenance fee (no refund of the inflation adjusted lifetime fee has been received to date), and threatened the permanent destruction of my server data within 30 days.
To protect my digital assets from immediate destruction, I was forced to execute an abrupt emergency migration to a completely new hosting provider, sustaining material damages from the operational disruption.
If you are a developer, sysadmin, or business looking for a stable partner that honors its written commitments, be careful. The moment you audit their billing practices or hold them to their agreed terms, executive management will unilaterally break your contract, execute a forced cancellation, and threaten your data.
