Is this saga still going? It's impressive to see the lengths some are willing to go to just to destroy someone.
The guy made some silly mistakes, and he clearly lacks social skills, but this has been going on way too long just for the amusement of some LET dicks… Come on, it's a person's livelihood you're playing with.
He can close shop (deadpool) and find another business venture that is not server hosting since he is clearly incapable of competently providing that. Better to dissuade customers from signing up with a misleading name host (nothing related to a charity) and have their privacy compromised. I sure don’t want my root password reset or for the provider to log into my VPS without my permission or a court order from law enforcement.

As @PineappleM iterated, it’s unethical for Andre to continue screwing his customers, building a false reputation on desperate lies, and to add insult to injury, attempt to censor anyone and everyone who dares to bring his wrongdoings to light.
We’re not “playing” with anything. Andre has a job. He can always shut down “CharityHost” and live his life as he wants. Just not at the expense of others.

The difference is that in a “witch hunt,” there are no witches. Thinking of alternate strategies to keep transparent information about Andre’s actions online should he successfully censor documentation of his activity (which he’s already tried to do) isn’t “witch hunting.”

Oh, just a few careless mistakes.... like scanning files on someone’s FTP storage, logging into someone’s VPS and resetting their root password, lying repeatedly over and over, bribing customers with an extra year of service for fake 5-star reviews, and, oh yeah, filing a false abuse report. Nothing major, right?
As long as he keeps lying to his customers, and trying to censor honest reporting on what he’s doing.
I want the charitygate saga to end as much as anyone else. But not only has Andre refused to apologize for or acknowledge his wrongdoing, he’s continuing to play the victim and engage in the same behaviors that got him banned here.
I’ll say it again: speaking out about unethical business practices is necessary to maintain the integrity of this community.
