2TB storage VPS with just enough resources for SAMBA/SMB would be something I can use for automated backups. I’ll keep an eye on these flash deals.

    2TB will not be restocked...

  • I'll be happy with a 1TB flash

  • I am simply happy, always. This is not possible to catch anything here coz bots buy everything instantly.

If anybody wants to get rid of the latest flash deal with a little profit, just pm me. Sorry, non transferrable. My fault

  • [@labze said]

40% off your 40% off? That'll be 24%. 24? That is the price of the first flash deal. Coincidence? I think not!

Please use the same math calculation for next Flash deal

  • Today is a new day, and there might be new flash sales.

512MB RAM, 50GB storage and 1TB bandwidth for <€15 yearly would be fire! Can use that for daily offloading my security camera detections.

You can find multiple deals in LET that satisfy your requirement oh, 50GB ..... may be not

What's your security cam system? Does your dvr allow ftp uploads and stuff?

Ubiquiti Protect, 4x camera's. It currently only supports Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and SMB/CIFS.

The 6 TB deal was open for a good 30 minutes and the site was pretty calm.

The 2 TB deal was definitely botted for sure.

The non-transferable rule sucks in some rare cases, like @beanman109 not being happy with his VDS, and 6 TB maybe being much more than what people actually want. @labze should allow some slack on the transfer rule, although how to do it without encouraging scalping is another question entirely. Maybe transfers can be allowed after 2 years of service ownership?

I dont think it was. I had chance to order it for good amount of time, but choose not to as i dont have any usage of it and i already have couple of good unsustainable services with HostBRR.. Probably wrong decision but it is what it is..

'Non-transferable' is acceptable and has existed in the past, which is why people need to think before placing an order. Two years or any number of years holds no significance; there may be better deals available or the service could be discontinued in the future.

the site had a 15 second click to load, it was definitely botted, i had it in my cart 3 times and it vanished 3 times, and I was quick, like maybe 1 minute after he posted it :'(

Lowendtalk search was faster than hostbrr when that deal dropped, and the restock

Yes there could be better deals available, so the supply of killer deals goes up, and therefore the demand for people to pay scalper prices for them goes down. I don’t know the exact motives of why @labze prohibited transfers, but I’m sure scalping was a large reason. He most likely wanted those who bought the deals to use them and not trade them around like Kimsurfi servers.

“Think before you order” you have no time for that. Between the time you realize the deal has dropped and the site being hammered, you have at most 5 seconds to read the specs and make up your mind, even less if you already were a minute late to the deal being dropped.

This is on top of people in Asia and half of Europe being unable to get anything since most deals drop after they are asleep. It’s really Americans that have been the main benefactor as the deals dropped at sane hours for them.

If this was done like HostHatch where the deal time was clearly broadcast and people had a fixed amount of time to order, then I agree with all your points. Even so, HostHatch still allows service transfers of their flash deals anyway.

Not that I’m criticizing @labze or anyone else (they are the provider, they make their own rules) but I do pity those in APAC who really want a deal, and see the no-transfer rule a bit too draconian for that reason.

No refunds and limit of 1 per account are perfectly sensible restrictions even in spite of all of the above.
