  Something is odd though because I don't think I was that fast.

  I chose PayPal first, but it didn't let me create a subscription with my debit card for some reason, backed out and chose Stripe (which gave me the minimum amount error) and then finally chose PayPal Basic.

  It is by invoice ID I believe, someone with later invoice ID paid too early such that Alex doesn't have time to cancel those yet, resulting in server created already but Alex still honored them.

  so I wouldn't have been able to order anyways since I only use card but I just couldn't get why it was opening the cart page for me ?

  maybe some of the others also got tripped by having to pay fast
  i was chilling as soon as i got the invoice
  looked up how I payed for my other server, tried stripe, and then it got cancelled
