Indeed, we will not be renewing our provider tag. It's unfortunate that a large community is driven solely by memberships while only generating money from pathetic providers. Allowing their users to be scammed and doing nothing is regrettable!

The snooping provider already made an example of themselves for doing exactly that. Don't be number two, even if you don't plan to renew the tag, since word of mouth can travel further than you think.
My two cents but I largely agree with your points, especially as a victim of a deadpooling host.

It's interesting that after point out the wrong of CH and his personality, now you are showing yours.
Couple things:
The process patron provider applicants go through to gain approval is now quite rigorous. Certainly better than ever before. We've continued to get better at this over the years.
There will always be bad apples no matter what. We've removed some patron tags where necessary to protect the community.
No drama makes for a boring place. I don't want this place to be boring.
I think many/all of us disagree, @Dasabo o. We don't agree that suppliers post unrealistic things, continue as if nothing happened, or make you, the customers, look bad.
I'm sorry to disappoint several of you by posting something real. If you think that saying those suppliers only last 2-3 months with their offers or aren't real is wrong, you can close my post.
It's regrettable, but everyone is respected.

Worth noting that pre-jbiloh, there was very little process in place.
Ironically, I remember people making these exact same kinds of comments about many hosts over the years. How many times did I read that BuyVM's plans were unsustainable...
Ultimately, the marketplace decides. The admins root out actual fraud committed in our community, but even then, this isn't LowEndPeople'sCourt.
As for providers posting offers and going bust, that's not always a scam. It's often young people who lack business judgement. If you want well-capitalized providers who are certain to be here five years from now, shop accordingly.
There's also a lot more providers now based in less-developed nations. What is considered adequate profit varies dramatically between Berkeley and Bangladesh.

While I tend to agree on some points you make, you yourself seem to not really be clear, what your point is about. Is it your evident hatred against @Calin? Is it this or that admin, or maybe @jbiloh, or no wait, him you seem to like, or is it against cheap providers, or is it about the world in general?
Plus, and probably worse, you seem to have little talent in social skills it seems.
First understand what LET is about! It's about views and clicks, it's like a TV station sending short videos of vomitting frogs because for some weird reason many people seem to like seeing vomitting frogs and click on that channel.
If you expect a modicum of sophistication you'll continue to be disappointed.
But then, to be fair, what is to be expected from a major part of the world, the western world, that is rapidly moving towards idiocracy?
Gross example: there's a clicque here that raids pretty much every thread with lots and lots of mindless nonsense posts, but for the LET leadership that despicable and antisocial behaviour seems to be OK, because it generates clicks and views (and hence ad revenue).
So, get it, LET is about clicks and views. Anything and everything else is secondary. Or tertiary.
As for cheap providers and prices you might be surprised. I certainly was and still occasionally am. You see, while "higher price = better quality" seems to be right and often actually is, it also can be very wrong. I've seen providers go belly up who were not cheap and I've seen cheap, even very cheap providers stay alive for years and years.
Also keep in mind that quite a few providers here pretty much use LET as a loss leader and/or to gain visibility. I know of more than one who later became quite successful riding on having a well known name.
Finally, do you have proof for your allegations against @Calin? Because if not you'd be well advised to shut up. And if yes, bring it on! (I won't hold my breath).
I don't hate any person/supplier, just different ideas that might be criticized for being fair:
Calin has shown in several posts over 50 pages that he was a person who said the problem wasn't the client's, but the provider's for accepting payments over 22k and then criticizing the client for trusting the provider.
Sometimes time is the cure for many issues. Many providers complain about us saying some plans aren't profitable, but we can't argue; everyone runs their business the way they want to.
The community is free and every topic is registered. We review posts, and if I complain, they tell me it's wrong to allow those plans, and they ignore me, that's fine.
Providers post, scam, close, or sell their clients. They are premium providers who couldn't manage their unacceptable sales.

A provider known to you already said, it's not the price, it's the provider who has the extra hardware, extra IPs, and instead of having them off, they sell them at prices that aren't correct.
Many providers rely on this: they hire for 1-3 months, sell unprofitable plans, then thousands of users consider premium plans, and then leave their projects hanging in the air and complain that they lost time and data. But from what I see, they're used to this. It's unfortunate that many people agree with this opinion.
We hope to post this post by Christmas 2025, highlighting all these publications.

Actually, his OP is full of questions that have easy answers. This is red flag. Make fucking statements and state how they should be, none of this stupid question shit across a bunch of unrelated things.
This whole thread is laying groundwork as an excuse OP can't afford the annual fee. It's not OP's fault he came to a place dedicated to low cost hosting and then felt the need to rant on how no one can do low cost hosting, it's everyone else's fault.
