I've suspended @Spaceberg 's Host Rep tag until they provide a satisfactory explanation of what happened (if they ever do)

I want to share my experience to warn others: I was scammed by SpaceBerg.cc, a hosting provider that turned out to be extremely unreliable and possibly fraudulent.

Same thing happened to me. I saw their 50% promotion offer and jumped the gun right away. I negotiated a custom dedicated server deal via support tickets, which they were unable to deliver, but they did provide a dedicated server with higher specs than what I originally ordered, which was fine by me. I had paid for 3 months, totaling €315 (with my original payment being €211). The server ran fine for 2 months, but on February 25, it went offline and never came back. It's been 6 days since I submitted a refund request still no reply..

It's a .cc domain, for Christ's sake. That's almost as bad as .tk.
No sane person would deal with a company that has a .cc domain extension in name, except for shady or completely illiterate people.

Usually I bitch about the use of .io or .co for business, but .cc (an old malware and spam site haven that's still blocked by many school firewalls for example) is a whole new level.

  • I would suggest googling about "Canvyy Spaceberg"
    Here is one post https://www.reddit.com/r/seedboxes/comments/11awdcf/spacebergcc_is_canvyy/

Canvyy was a seedbox focused company that basically took people's money and disappeared. Someone found out that both companies had the same owner. Spaceberg was banned from the seedboxes reddit permanently but they eventually got their business going via discord and other sites, and here we are, at the brink of history about to repeat itself.

As bad as snooping on customers is, it's not near the level of criminality as monetary theft (scamming people) is.

they have essentially given the community carte blanche to remind CH about what they did and alert potential customers about their snooping - imo its better than stripping their tag because CH continues to burn their own brand this way
