@jar The BF2024 25GB plan is gone?? I was about to buy it and its gone now
Too much thinking will get you nothing.
Lesson learned
I'm still seeing it though. Jar probably has just restocked some
i thought this was just me lmao. its been a bit of an annoyance for a while
I've not seen it. But with Apple having killed off our Push method maybe it's worth removing the account and adding it back. There have also been a lot of random iOS devices experiencing consistent issues with IMAP servers (not just ours) since the iOS 18 release, no acknowledgement yet from Apple.
Are there any good providers/plans for secure SMTP relay only?
I'd go with the guy that's middle name was legally changed to "Email" and where 90%+ providers here trust them enough to handle their large volumes of transactional emails that their companies heavily rely upon.
Established track record > New and shiny - total no-brainer.
Can't really go wrong with either. Been with MXRoute since 2016 and got a lifetime plan with CraneMail around BF. Don't plan on leaving either of them unless something major happens.
@jar another one!
Out of interest, do you use any other IMAP service? Do they have the same issue?
Thank you, will try readding
Yeah it might have started with iOS 18
If I had to choose, I’d go with MXRoute.
Why not both? That is the question.
I use both, I love both. My family prefers CraneMail though, perhaps because of the UI of SmarterMail.
I used both, and both are great, but I ended up going back to Mailcow + SG VPS + a relay because neither of them has an APAC location. Fetching recent email is too slow on email clients, I have to open webmail to view recent emails.
Yeah it was, I bought the plan.
CraneMail itself rates MXRoute better in deliverability of emails, MXRoute have been around for a lot longer doing email so if you need more reliability, MXRoute would be the way to go.
NameCrane however offer large storage at lower prices, so if you need large storage mail, then NameCrane is much more affordable. And their deliverability is still excellent, many users here on LET and not many complains about emails not being delivered.
Both have their perks, but if you want something easy to set up and manage, you might lean toward Cranemail. MXRoute has a bit more flexibility, depending on what you're looking for in the long run.
+1 for Cranemail
Avoid MXRoute
TL;DR: OP sends a shit ton of (most likely illegitimate) emails. This is a perfect reason why to use MXRoute, no eewie spammers.

Either way, how Jar and his team handled a failed social engineering attempt gained my loyalty. Absolute chads.
Cranemail had some delivery rate (and speed) issues when it was first launched, but Fran resolved the problems shortly after, and it has been running smoothly for about two months now. I believe everything is fine. As for Mxroute, jar responds quickly, and the delivery rate is top-notch. I don't see anything to complain about. However, since I purchased Cranemail's Lifetime deal, I think I might gradually migrate over to it.
+1 for mxroute. I haven't had the chance to use cranemail yet.
+100 for cranemail or NameCrane. You cannot miss the LTD deals of cranemail. Their discord is super active. The deliverability is top notch. And with SpamExperts is awesome to see all the logs.
Using for e-commerce mxroute
neither! It's 2025 who pays for mail? Seriously tho I personally would probably just install mail cow and use a service like Amazon's SES or @interservermike mail.baby for outgoing and since it's for personal use i have a feeling you would find enough in your washing machine to pay for that.
sure, if you have lots time to maintain that.
I'd rather let jar handle my mails. the BF packages are essentially free.
Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I've been an MXroute user for a long time and a CraneMail user for a few months (started earlier this year). I just don't usually post here.
Between MXroute and CraneMail, I find MXroute easier to set up and get running quickly. CraneMail offers a lot more settings to configure, though the default setup works just fine. One thing I really value about CraneMail is its support for Split MX.
In terms of deliverability, I've had no issues with either service. I use email solely for business and work-related communication—not for marketing—so both have served me well.
Use Both.
This is actually good advice, it won't cost much.
I'm open to feedback on UX stuff
Maybe we can hide a chunk of 'create/edit domain' page under an 'advanced' fold.
Francisco
Hiding some options under 'Advanced' wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’m used to DirectAdmin, so CraneMail just takes a bit of getting used to. More tooltips would really help.
I'm a bit puzzled by the DNS Setup Guide. The CNAME entries for webmail and the portal don’t reflect the actual subdomain I entered during the initial setup, though it does correctly request the TLS certificate for the actual subdomain that I entered. I always configure MTA-STS for my domains, but I noticed mx3.mxfilter.net and mx4.mxfilter.net don’t have corresponding certificates.
That's true. It's static and i'll add it to my fix list today
