horrible network on hostslim 14 eur let deal
https://clients.hostslim.eu/store/vps-hosting/let-est-1g-vps
network is horrible, Ralph from support lied for 2 months that it will be fixed, it only gets worse, they know about the issue but they are still selling this.

We need a thread on the forum with continuous network tests of different vps providers to avoid this kind of scam.

10 Mbits/sec, is that 3G connection ๐
i would be glad if they provided 10mbit/s, in fact it's not guaranteed that you will get 1mbit/s, insane instability is the issue here. That screenshot with 10mbit/s was an iperf3 UDP test which pushes as much data as you specify forcefully, i do this kind of test to check actual packet loss (smokeping can be inaccurate sometimes)
Can confirm, I have a shared hosting in EE, even that is flapping every other minute.
I just ran yabs on my VPS and it brought down the VPS?
There's about 2 months left on that thing I guess I'll just cancel it
confirm it
hardware not ok, software not ok, confirmed it @rcartists
Tis is unacceptable, even tho this still faster than my 4G
It has been 20 minutes I can't ssh to it either.
It s random new Password generate but it s possible reset password
No issue with @crunchbits or @NDTN (GreenCloudVPS). They have amazing service and far better deals. Maybe try them out
hostslim support is horrible, thats why i canceled my services there.
My server is fine (or my specific route)

I'll let it there pinging for idk, a few days, to see, but for me, it's been fine. 20s TCP checks to my SSH port are also 100% for the last few days. But could be that my monitoring thing is not as accurate.
Not denying what OP claims, it does seem to be having issues with specific routes. For example, with Hetzner in Helsinki:

Compared to Wavecom:

From my uptime kuma instance:

Compared to Wavecom:

My VPS went back online. I tried to run YABS and it went down again.
10/10 experience.
Hostslim shady.
@zGato their gateway is losing packets in my case, all routes are affected, i added your ip to my smokeping http://207.127.95.55:81/smokeping/smokeping.cgi?target=Local.hslim_zgato1 let's see...
can you enable iperf3 service on your vps?
what's
"wget -O /dev/null https://ash-speed.hetzner.com/1GB.bin"
"wget -O /dev/null https://hel1-speed.hetzner.com/1GB.bin"
reporting?
thanks
Something is wrong with the EE network for sure.
It's great for my location (via retn): low latency, great speedtest.
But if I'm using VPS for VPN, then, for example, YouTube starts "buffering" in the middle of the video.
So:
I think this ongoing issue has been going on since the New Year.
same... everything with less than 10ms of latency reports good speed (still not all the time), that's because retransmits are fast and not expensive, but testing from US and ssh is lagging like crazy and speed may be <1mbit/s

Ashburn (IPv6 and IPv4)

Helsinki (IPv6 and IPv4)

I confirm that there are some network issues โ I haven't been able to use the server since April 20. At first, there was occasional connectivity, but now only IPv4 responds to ping, while TCP connections fail. Only IPv6 is working. Support has been silent for three days โ they only replied once, saying they had raised the priority, and that's it. This is starting to look like a scam.
losses are above 10% since yesterday, 16% currently, vps is completely unusable now, ash-speed reports 30kb/s, ssh freezes for seconds at times. this is the worst network on a vps i have ever seen.
my vps: http://207.127.95.55:81/smokeping/smokeping.cgi?target=Local.hslim_my1
zgato vps: http://207.127.95.55:81/smokeping/smokeping.cgi?target=Local.hslim_zgato1
@zGato even your lucky vps is at 4% loss for the last hour which is still bad, please stop recommending such service
for history: https://imgur.com/a/86rx4Mj
Perfectly fine for me. TCP checks over SSH port every 20s

I also monitor it through Nezha which receives data every 3 seconds and haven't noticed it going down.

I get your point, but it's working fine and is not a big deal for me. Still a great deal for 10Gbps unmetered, what do you want me to say, lol. But again, you're totally right that something's going on and doesn't seem like @VPSSLIM is interested in fixing.
And is not really about RETN's network, but their VM node is just scuffed.
I hear from you, and I've removed all my affiliated links, both from my deals page and signature, until @VPSSLIM sorts this out.
@zGato thanks!
sorry for all the edits btw
i can't believe my eyes, but...
https://imgur.com/a/Fgpj0tM (yes it was down on the 20th and 21st, but that's another topic)
0% loss in the last hour in smokeping, almost no losses while downloading at 100mbit/s, my vps has better results than zgato's now.
this is probably not a miracle though (where hostlim engineers figured out network balancing), but just a new node which will get oversold fast, will see in a few weeks or months. (their lack of response indicates that they don't care about properly fixing the issue)
@VPSSLIM
sue them
I canceled my renewal with them for my Netherlands VPS
no thats actually a Claw.Cloud approved network speed
network is a bit worse now but still acceptable for the price, but it's gone down 4 times this week, from 10 minutes to 30 minutes.
i didn't take notes but wanted to make an update anyway, so i only have data for this week: it was down on 03.08.25 between 3:10 - 3:22 utc, at this moment the network is not terrible, but still lossy enough during peak hours for it to be uncomfortable for some tasks
iperf3 -c x.x.x.x -R -u -b 10M -t 120(inbound udp test at 10mbit/s, made at 23:00 estonia time)reports exactly 1% loss on my vps and 0% on hostslim vds
HEL1 hetzner speedtest (only 2ms ping so it's very forgiving to losses) actually peaks at 3gbit/s for less than a second and then stabilizes at 1.5gbit/s, but what's the point in this speed when the network quality is bad? and on a 1 core vps lol... the network is capable but isn't managed properly, unfortunately.
ASH hetzner speedtest (100ms ping) peaks at 200mbit/s but then never stabilizes and can go below 10mbit/s (https://imgur.com/a/0JgaFFt)
shame on @VPSSLIM for never responding in this thread and never properly fixing the issue
